Planes of Power
Just had 2 of these drop from _a_dragorn_ireknight_ in Wall of Slaughter, and will not let anyone else but the chanter loot one . . . similar messages to attempted loots of epic 2.0 drops prematurely for all other attempts.
Mkay, here's a brief rundown of a situation I was in, and my 2cp on these.
I was hanging out in my usual kiting spot in Tactics, left from the zonein. Was medding up and dropped a Diaku Scimitar on the ground. Within 2 minutes a Gladiator aggrod me, saying "You dare challenge me?" or some nonesense. Now this totally baffled me, since in the 20+ hours I've spent kiting in this spot, I have never seen a roamer. I had been sitting in the middle of the sand pit when the Gladiator aggrod me, and I have no clue where she came from.
Now... on to the weapons...
a) Pure Vendor Trash
b) Pure cosmetics to make the ogres look fancy
c) Damage-nerfing weapons (considering how crappy the dmg/dly is, and the fact they wield them, they would tend to do less damage than they would normally hand to hand, one would think)
d) Unknown quest (some kind of trigger, or was that just a fluke?)
e) Something to annoy players.
I highly doubt it's a tradeskill thing, since every single Diaku drops a weapon.

I've heard of a few people dumpin these on ground and havin a mob pop shortly after. That might be part of the "quest". Anone who reads this board and gets the chance should test the theory and repost.

They can also be found in Plane of Tactics aka Fortress of Zek. Still trying to figure out what they may be for along with the Head of a Diaku Soldier.

I found one of these lying about in the Nexus on Bertox, kinda wondering why this neat looking sword was sitting there, so I waited a while, no one grabbed it, so I picked it up... I think I'm going to keep it until something is discovered about it
every other mob has these in plane of tactics among other types of weapons, anyone have any clue which quest these things are for?

I would like to see the end result quest item... whatever it may turn out to be... look like the icon for this item. It sorta reminds me of soemthing a Klingon would weild. :p

Note the tag that says "used in quests" probably a HoH quest item to get a nice scimitar or something. but i could be wrong :)
