I just bought one of these in an auction in POK for 1.2k . Seemed like a good price given the stats, but wasn't sure. All I knew was my paly was using a weighty polearm and desperately needed an upgrade. I wasn't going to bid that high, but one other guy just kept going up. Finaly, I raised the bid by 200pp and I guess he thought I was never gonna stop. So he gave up :)

Not sure if the trader I found in the bazaar today foregot to add a zero to his price or what, but I purchased my Wideblaed Greatsword for 400pp :)

Won a roll for this sword and gave it to my 'Zerker, Very cool.
He is currently lvl 27 and i have seen some nice hits come from this. anywhere from 88 points for a single hit to a five hit combo slash,slash, frenzy, frenzy, frenzy, with 42 to 55 on each hit through the combo.
Not sure if there is better out there for a beserker, but IMHO, this sword rocks.

How often does this drop? As in would I have to spend 5+ hours camping it or does it drop fairly often?

I have been in the zone killing Giants for BOT drops for approximately 30+ hours. These raids were with 2 - 6 groups to take out giants, minis, and Lords. Whenever we had 6 groups we were almost always chain pulling 1-2 mobs at a time.
In all that time I remember only 1 dropping. Unfortunately we had nobody there that needed it so it was randomed to people present to be used on their alts.
I have not equiped it on my pally or warrior (most likely will goto my pally since I don't have that fast of a 2hs) so I can't tell you how well this hits.

I currently have this as my 2HS on my warrior, and i would like to know what would be a good upgrade for this, That isn't hard to get? (No mob over 66, and no plane of Time, or anything that a normal guild can't handle).

A guild officer bought one from someone who had this waay underpriced for 6k. Sold to me for 5300 yesterday.

I was hanging out in the Baz on my 30 warrior at about 5am, and saw this puppy for sale for 2200 plat.. Can you say "Run like hell"? I dont get the full stats but it's current stats are better than my current 2-Hander and it will only get better with time.

Not just a drop from the her megirs, but also from an easier giant, an irmin fannsk.
Soloable by a druid with their 63 charm and AA ability exodus. So are the her megirs but then you have to chain CH the frog pet cause those her megirs are just MEAN.

uber... got mine for 8k when they were're go'n for 12k on TZ... at 49 i was soloing ent mobs in the hole :-) w/ this bad boy... the stats are great, the DPS is killer for the price, and there's more AC on this then the crusty BP that i used up until 45.

I use the Weighty Polearm and for the 50pp or so I paid on CT server it was well worth it. I am now trying the Wideblade and haven't noticed a difference yet. Maybe when I go back to RM and farm the HG's for pp to help pay for the Wideblade I will see a difference. BTW I got this weapon from a friend for 4K. He said it normally runs about 8K on CT server.

Just wondering, I have the Widebladed Greatsword, and a Longsword of Vitality, Dmg 26, Del 25, Magic dmg 2, AC 10, and a few other stats, and its a 1 handed slashing. Which one would be better to use?

2handers are always better to use if you are looking for damage. Even if the 1hander has a better ratio, the damage bonus placed on 2handers puts it far ahead of a 1hander in the damage category. But, with a 1hander you can equip a shield. This means more AC, stats, and saves. 1handers also normally hit faster than 2handers, meaning a better chance to interrupt casters, add that on to your bash, and stun (if you are a Paladin), and it's virtually impossible for the caster to get off a spell. Purely sitiuational. I guess it just comes down to preference, really.

servers have such different prices lol, i hear all you talking about this for 10-12kish, 7-8k good deals, and windblade at 20-30k...
on TP windblade is 50k+ and i just bought this sword for 5k

hehe yeah I just bought this sword on tholuxe paells for 7k, and I havn't seen a windblade sell for less than 75k in weeks! It seems like they just keep getting more expensive.

Which is a better weapon? I want to buy the Greatsword but the argent protector is better for my lvl (34). Should i buy this or keep my protector?
At 34th, you won't even come close to getting the benefit that this weapon can provide - stick with your protector for now.

This is a very effeciently fast and great stats!! Excellent for a Paladin or SK (other classes as well).

You have to be atleast the recommended lvl (53) to receive and see the full stat's. If you were lvl 53 or higher you would have seen the 25AC.

Seeing this in the bazaar with the same stats, but an AC of 16 instead of 25. Nerf?

I bought one of these on Povar a week ago for only 8k!! they had been about 10k up to now; and I agree, considering the Windblade goes for 20 - 25K still on Povar, this is a good deal. Maybe not quite as much Damage but sure Fast. Im hitting Great with it and I havent even gotten to lvl 53 yet, cant wait to see what it will do!

Bought one for 7k on Cazic-Thule the other day although the normal price is now around 10-15k. Windblades go for 30k on my server now. I like this weapon more than a windblade for two main reasons...25ac is awesome, and it doesnt look like a bladed waffle on a stick. This sword hots hard and fast and has a great graphic to it, much better than a Windblade...plus, comparing 7k to 30k, no contest...this sword is a great value and perfect for my 55 Shadowknight.
Drops off an Irmin Her Megir, forest giant. Doable by single group, slowable snareable mostly immune to mezz and charm. Hits around 600-700.
