i got this far last month and i started doing this quest back in 2006, till i found out that the mobs in seru needed you to be a higher lvl to even think of doing this quest. of course if one had a very top notch guild to help well that was diff. but i didnt have a guild like that.so i had to wait till i got high enough to try it. i got the key with this part of the quest as well. plus it took me a week to finish getting all four shards from the boss mobs. my warrior a lvl 70 got sent to the jail while fighting, it was a good thing that i had been binded outside of room and had gate postions with me so i ported back to room real quick to finish the job. also had merc's helpin out as well.took about 15 to 20 mins to drop him. others i think was a lot quicker to drop, fight went real quick.all the bosses summond as well so let the merc's hold agro at lease thats what i did!
You have to do them all. You don't get the Arx key until the end of the 4th quest. You can't start the 4th quest until you finish the third, etc. Can confirm just did it today, 7/27/15
Just got the key without doing any of the previous quests leading up to 4. All it took was handing the 4 drops into Elderitch after following the dialogue.
With the ability to block beneficial buffs, you can block "Arx Foris" on you and port the rest of the group to the area in Seru. Now switch group and again. In last group, remove "Arx Foris" from block list and you travel along your friends.

The Arx Key has 10 charges of Arx Gate. It will port you into the Arx Seru in a safe location.
If you try to click on teh boreded up portal, you will have guards coming after you.
I do not know if you can recharge the Arx key. But if you're guild is going for the Sigil Earring of Veracity then a few people are going to have a key and can get people in.
Each key has 10 charges, so that should be enough.
last night i got my head off Seru, and the bloodied berserker sword he dropped...by the way the effect on the earring isnt targettable for some reason even though thats what it says...but that actually makes it better for an instant click item wen needed for dummy buff since u dont have to take the time to target yourself and then target the mob again, i did this quest pretty dam quick thanks to my friends and guild for the help took me about 5 days if that. Good luck to all of you i hope u have as much luck/support as i did.
Acumen is virtually useless, especially in a raid environment. The insta-click element makes the effect useful. With other items like 10th Ring and this you'll save yourself and fellow raiders much trouble and wasted time/mana managing your buffs.
Well, I have the earring now, as I and another officer lead our first (successful) seru raid, killed him again with ease the following patch day. And have found no reason to use the clicky yet.
This has nothing to do with blue vs red server. When you pull or tank a mob that dispells you will want to quickly replace one or two and sometimes four junk buffs. That or always be crying for rebuffs. There are some AE dispellers as well. Doze for example. On the way up to start the Rallos Zek encounter, you will run into a few that proc a gravity flux and area dispel. Just because you haven't experienced it yet, doesn't mean you won't.

It is not nesessary to to use bane weapons to take Sseru down. While engaged, I watched, and no melee damage was done to him at all by pets or anything else. Melee damage mind you! Pet procs were landing, an any casters useing fire/cold were owning him. Long long long long fight, but worth every loot he droped. Went to turn in old earring and head for this earring, and either Lacea was not spawned yet, or someone had killed her :( sigh
I have submitted the quest for all the Earrings of Veracity several times but it seems it's not here on the boards. Email me at eq_lesan@hotmail.com for a complete walkthrough for the earrings including the Arx Key to get to Seru and the Starred Yttrium weapon recipes needed to kill him.
Than for third you gotta kill L60-64 mobs for reports (4 total) from each of 4 buildings.
Fourth you kill the Guildleaders of each of these buildings for their "shards". Hit for 700s, 200khp, proc a port on your MT that ports him to a 'jail' which is instadeath if CotH is not quick.
Fifth you turn in the fourth along with the head of seru.
Oddly, the hardest part about getting this earring is not killing Seru. Its collecting the 4 reports you need for the 3rd earring. That has been the bottleneck for everyone on our server so far. One of the other guilds on Bristlebane has killed Seru many many times and yet has only completed 2 or 3 final earrings, with the other folks still trying to get reports, from what I have gathered. I have not started trying yet, but from what one person told me, the reports are about 10 times as rare as the Maidens Eye shard (for Vex Thal key). A big FU to Verant for making quest item drops insanely rare once again.... /sigh

This realy is an ALL/ALL earring. Who wouldn't want one of these? Gratz to anyone taking down Lord Inquisitor Seru. Never been there myself but herd it's a long hard fight. Heck, getting enough keys is a long hard fight of a diffrent sort!
