Is this quest still doable by lowwer level characters even though cazic thule is now a 55+ zone? I'm sure glad i got my gloves before the level was redone. dont think i could get radiants gloves anymore.
I was wondering if my 42 ranger can do these gloves and mask quest for my chanter, and just let my chanter get the stuff from neriak and so forth is this possible?
Gloves can be done by any class since all items are lootable and none of them require going into any evil cities. The Incandescent Mask however does require a trip into Neriak and although your ranger would be KoS in this city it is possible to use invisibility (cammo) to sneak into the city since the quest mob for the mask is on beta neutral faction but I'd suggest knowing your way around first and being very careful. None of the steps in any of the side quests can be multi-quested like the shining stone for the rod since all items are NODROP although you could let your chanter loot items off stuff you kill if you don't have the faction to do the side quests.
You can make a mule for the rune in Neriak (for mask) and MQ it. My friend messed up on his enchanter and chose a religion. He cannot enter Neriak very easily.
But, the end products are not nodrop, so anyone can quest for them.
Choosing a religion does not necessarily stop you from doing it - just makes it really scary! LOL! I did it with invis and DE illusion. The guy in the library is not - NOT - on Indigo Brotherhood fation and was indifferent to me as a DE with a religion. Even after I had slaughtered TONS of crushbone orcs in Gfay and CB. Ivis past the guards. Hope and pray it doesn't break. Zone into 3rd quarter and walk into the library. Target him and walk out. Uninvis after making sure there are no guards around. Con him... he should be indifferent. If he is, give him the plat and gate the heck out!
The Incandescent Gloves are pretty much the only enchanter charisma gloves that one can quest for at the mid levels. The only speed-bump is Radiant the lizard in CT and even that is trivial if there is a train that pulls him out to the courtyard (meaning, a level 16 can quest for this without excessive highby babysitting).
To get any better stuff, meaning gloves that combine charisma and INT, there are insidious gloves from the plane of hate or Iksar skin gloves: https://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?item=6831 . Problem is, the Iksar skin gloves are from the revamped Chardok and thus you really have to be level 46+ (and very lucky and determined) to get either.

if you can afford it, get yourself up in one of the tradeskills and wwhen hitting 250 go for the trophee. It fits in range and has +10 int/str/wis and +50 cha. And it does not matter wich skill, after hitting the archtypes you can always go for the grandmastership you wish to aquire. Combined with opalcrusted steins, wich you can purchase for not too much money in the bazaar, you can get already +100 cha this way. Add some golden cha bracers to it and it's already +114 together with your base cha and other cha items you should be hitting 200 easily. The only downside the amount of money involved to aquire grandmastership and the 5-8kpp for the artisan seal. But up to now my chanter has very few resists where it concerns charming and mezzing, though undoubtedly it will change over time as she is only lvl 17 now.
AC 6 gloves that weigh 1.5 and give 3CHA and 3STR? These things are sweet! Granted, there are nicer ones out there now, especially in Velious, but not so easy to get.
Just go to a Shadow Man camp, and ask to loot gloves. They're No Drop, so most peeps won't care. And like someone else, I looted Radiant in the CY of CT- no problem. The other steps need about 6plat and a willingness to run.
If someone handed some of you people a thousand bucks, you would complain the fifties were mixed up with the twenties.
Oh BTW- just hand Sultin all 4 gloves...the Inc. Gloves will appear in your inventory.
I am a level 16 enchanter and was able to complete this quest. I have had the shadow man gloves a long time now, having been walking through nektulos in DE form when someone Ooc'd that a shadow man corpse had these on them. I ran over and looted them, thinking they were great because they were 1 ac better than the raw silk i had.
Then i saw the quest listed here and figured the Highkeep gloves would be easy, which it was, and the lavastorm gypsy gloves would be easy but id save that for last . So My brother mindail wasnt busy one day (39 druid) so he ported me to feerot. it was easy to get to cazic thule. It was a very busy day there, and i had just gotten the breeze spell, all the level 30's were more than happy to lute radiant to the front and kill him there for me in exchange for a round of breezes. It took a while becasue someone kept training raiders to the front, but i got them!! Then Mindail ported me to Lavastorm, and i gave 50 gold to the gypsy at the druid circle, becasue her name was Tisina! WRONG girl. I was able to give the correct Tizana the 50 gold and got the last gloves! headed invisibly to Sol temple, FELL IN LAVA and died inside :( after all that to die right at the end hehehe. But I got back to the temple and got the gloves!! Level 16 CAN get these!! Kimberyll, 16 enchanter, Saryrn Server

I had dusty bloodstained, but I sold all my eq to someone for a bunch of plat, and after filling up my eq again, all I have for some of my items are raw silk.

i have to agree here, honestly id rather have 200 cha. over 200 int.at higher lvls you no longer need all the int because all your gona be doing mainly, is crowd control

I agree, these gloves are sweet, even though I haven't done the quest yet myself. Ok the 3 mana is worthless, for me the AGI is worthless too, I already have an insane amount coming from some other items I have. 3 more strength.. pretty cool, ok. But 3 CHA and 6 AC!! Yay!. Even if these gloves had *only* 6 ac 3 cha without the sugar coating, I'd wear them over my current 2 ac 25 mana DBS gloves.
