While the absence of stats may make it sound worthless, this item has an awesome ratio for people too low to get the value of better 1HB SK weapons. 19/24 is damn great even without any stats, and with haste, wow. Besides, the primary value of a weapon is the ratio, not the stats. There are plenty of weapons with good stats and crappy ratios.
It is nice for new player now that it sells for about 1500pp or less in bazaar.

This weapon is simply astonishing. I have this with an SBS and SCHW and my damage output is insane, level 22 and can still take a red without having to waste HT... at 189 str (199 with Siphon Str) I hit for mid to high 50's and with the SCHW the delay is kicked down to about 20-21... I wouldnt give this thing up for anything... best 2.5k I've ever spent.

cant beat the damage output for the price..4k weapon..on E'ci anyway..I love mine..now if I could just afford a can of motivation..it seems like all I do is flop down in EC and uberize myself at level 51 just so I can..mug forest giants for more money for more stuff..
Oh, if you have reasonable int, get the Ebon, if you need int, get a Noct and stop wasting your time with a Moss, even though it isn't bad at all for the price

This is prity good...but still, haveing a MoSS and a FbSS is cool kuzz than ya got the 19dmg 29del AND the 10int...which a dumbass troll like me needs...but than agin the Ebon mace with a FbSS would be way fast, so i think that it is really up to what race you are;

The ebon mace is much better than the moss imo, i got it for 5k luckly, I can deal much more damage with this and my handwraps than with moss

as far as the whole casting versus damage thing between MoSS and Ebon Mace, I think it depends on how you play your character. In a group with a healer backup, I think your spells become more supplements and the most important factor is damage output. On the other hand, someone who is prone to solo combat might want the added int for better success with lifetap line of spells = less downtime between fights. But I think that overall the Ebon Mace is a much better weapon

This Mace ROCKS for the amount of difficulty required to get it - esp' if you are a casual player and don't have time to join up with a raid guild that will be doing ToV.
OS is a fairly well used zone, if you continually try and get D2 groups for a few months on end you should eventually see one of these as well as raking in some XP and some other items/plat.

this weapon is much better than moss. even with moss and fbss ur delay is about 24 i duno, ebon mace and fbss is like 20
I would agree, but remember the MoSS has +10 Int which is bonus in itself.

I'm about to replace my MoSS with this baby, but I hate losing 10 intelligence. That's a bite, since I rely on my magic a lot. Maybe with this and my FBSS, though, I won't need it nearly as much!

Would like to throw a question out to all of us SKs out there. As an ogre SK would you prefer a Noc Blade 18/26 plus 15 dex or an Ebon Mace 19/24 and why??
I have a Noc blade at the moment but was thinking of maybe trying out an Ebon mace to seee what works best for my style of play.
My problem is that my SK Ogre, misses so damn much. I really like this character (lvl 45) but its so frustrating at times just because of the fact that I miss so much during a fight. Agi and Dex is at 121 so its not that bad fo(for an Ogre).. This is my alt and I am trying to twink her and have some fun with her. I was hoping that by switching to a Ebon Mace I would be able to miss less (less delay and more damage)
Can anyone pls make some logical suggestions on how i can miss less during a fight..
Any logical explanation would be real nice

yea being a big race as yourself u should use 2HS or 2HB.
light swords are for small races.
im lvl 24 and useing a Axe of lost sould hit for 6o and 75 if lucky.
i also use MOSS do around 40 with it.

If I was an Ogre SK I would use nothing but 2 handed weapons.

First off, AGI and DEX have nothing to do with how often you hit. This is a constant misconception. DEX will, however, help you double attack more often which will give you more chances to try and hit.
The only factors are, offensive skill, weapons skill, and attack vs the mobs AC, defensive skill, ability to riposte/dodge/parry (which is raised by AGI).
The other thing is, if you haven't noticed, SK's weapon and offensive skills stop going up after 40! They will not kick in again until 51. This is when SKs loose there place in DMG dealing and start becoming strong defensive class (since rangers and other damage dealers will become quickly offense and loose their defensive edge).
You're not hitting because Verant doesn't want you to hit. =P

Uhh, most melees skills are maxed around 40 and will nto go up again til 51 for all classes.

49 SK with a Noct Blade and FBSS what kind of a beast would an SK be if they could dual wield a noct blade/ebon mace/moss jesus it would be amazing 18/26/19/24/19/29 just a thought too bad we cant dual wield =(
don't say such things...everytime i think about sk's dual wielding i cream my pants =( Although it would be nice, i'd take the xp penalty (as if we dont have enough already) for the ability to dual wield

Add the fact that SKs can't dual wield in the FIRST place. Toss in the fact that there are LOTS of other monk weaps in the same general range as jade mace (wu's on the cheap end, primal above jade) and only a few very nice and very common weaps that are still far below this (such as MoSS and Wurm) for SKs. The only real 1h weap between MoSS and Ebon is the noct and it's still insanely expensive. No good substitutes = premium price.

on my server if a ebon mace was auction, wts ebon mace 20k there screen would be spammed with ILL BUY!!!!, these are worth about 35-40k

i dont see why jademaces can cost as little as 15k but ebon maces cost 20k or sometimes a little more in prexus. There rarity are about the same and damg is almost equivlant when a monk weild the jademaces. I personially think that the jademaces and the ebon maces should cost the same.

Ok, I havent played an Sk much, but do they have dual weld ? I really really doubt that they can hold this in either hand

That may be true, but jade maces have a very large market of buyers, whereas only shadowknights buy these. Lower demand=lower market price.

Agreed. I know that on my server, at the busiest time if you do a "/who all shadow 50 60" you won't get more than 15 people. So it is a simple matter of supply and demand. I get frequent tells by people trying to sell blood ember. It is easier for people to ask every high level SK on a server if they want to buy a high end item than to auction it.
A MOSS (SK only 1hb) has stats of 19/29 10int. You can get them for less than 5k now. This would be a ridiculously low price if it were a warrior item.

I have seen asking prices of 20kpp in auction on the ebon on more than one occasion. So no, I am not misleading anyone.
And if you don't get it, take Econ 101

The Ebon Mace doesn't give any INT, you're confusing it with the Mace of Shadowed Souls.
