This does indeed still drop. I got it yesterday 3/6/2017 in PoH on the Erollisi Marr-The Namless server. Sorry I didn't pay attention to what dropped it. I did however grab an item window pic that I'll try to upload before I deleted it
Dropped off a named Pestilent rat (can't remember name offhand) in a house by the Deathrot Knight spawn point. I will post a better location next time I am there.
This indeed was an awesome weapon in its time. As stated before, this item was a good taunt weapon and good for WIS and 1HB skills. Even though it was stated on the downside that you lose AC, that is only true if you did not have a shield. In the case of a shield, you probably add about 20~30 AC than the 2HS Wurmy and probably recouped the saves you lost plus added more saves and stat boosters.
So, if you need to taunt, then this weapon is better with a shield and is not a Stamina killer like the Wurmy. If you do not want to taunt but to backup the main tank, use the Wurmy.
Guys remember this item is Planar on a Pre-Kunark Plane..... Pretty much old looks & stats arent that special after RoK & SoV, but B4 Kunark this was THE weapon to look for for Paladins since the epic (Firey Avenger at the time) was 2HS & (still is) a pain to get, not to mention there were no ND or any better weapons to hold. I personally gave the Wurmy a vacation once I got the sprinkler, because: 1- 4 more Wis points. 2- Helluva dmg/delay combination (!!!). 3- It'll give me a better taunt & waaay better overall damage. 4-Gives a chance to improve my 1HB & still get into a spam of hits..:p Drawback though: 1- Gave up Ac, 5 Str & 5 MR. 2- Gave up the high end damag o the Wurmy.
Nothing in the EQClient about "Handedness," or even the WORD "hand" anywhere in the file. And the only "left" and "right" in there is for the keymappings.... Might be one of those things they talked about adding, or was mistakenly mentioned in one of the error-laden User Manuals that were boxed with the games (gods, were those out of date)...
The only left/right handedness I can think of you could change that would affect EQ would be to change your mouse from right- to left-handed (click and double-click with the Rmouse, and Lmouse does like a R-click normally). But, that's a Windows setting, not an EQ one.
Might be something I've missed in the individual character option files, though..... Haven't taken the time for a detailed check of those yet. *shrug*
