You need 10 spells to charm effectively, and being able to put one in some equipment makes this worth the price, no question, especially since I see them in the baz often for less than 300p on 7th.

Posted:Nov 13 2002 at 12:07 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Sorry to anyone who got this item, its really not all that good...auctually, I won't buy this for 50pp. The effect is worthless..then there's the fact its statless. But, hey, for those who are intrested:
all you people who say this thing is great...are u on crack??( i dont mean clarity..) i mean wtf its ac 10 and effect sup camo??? UM HELLO THAT IS GAY. no wis or anything else. this thing is a waste of mmoney you idiots...go look at the other kunark armor helms and youll see what i mean. dont buy this for more then 100pp...geez... 10ac(WEAK...even for a druid..who dont even have a high demand for ac..) sup camo...thats only good for convenience and not worth spending 1k over..../sigh cmon guys think for yourselves and not what verant spits at you
Laugh. You dont equip it, you keep it in inv so you dont have to waste mana casting it. /sigh C'mon, Asgara, think for yourself and... wait, that's what got you into this mess. Nevermind, don't think. Ever.
I wouldn't buy it, but if one dropped and I won the roll, I definitely be happy. It's nice to be able to cast some useful mana-free spells when you're OOM.
"cmon guys think for yourselves and not what verant spits at you"
I don't think Verant said anything about this being worth more than 1k. You're jumping on the "I'm so kewl that I'll rip VI whenever I have a chance, just like everyone else" bandwagon, so, to you, I say that you need to think for yourself. Allow others to have their opinions. If you disagree, state why without showing yourself to be 13 years old by insulting people or implying/stating that they're stupid or drugged.
As for the "HELLO THAT IS GAY," yeah, again, quit demonstrating that you're only thirteen. I think we got it, through your inability to spell out the word "you" and using multiple question marks at the end of a sentence. u got it???
Hi I was wondering what lvl i have to be to use it. Im a lvl 25 drui ATM and im thinking of buying one so plz plz plz tell me what lvl u have to be plz... bye
Just info on ES Helm. When sold to a vendor, it can be bought back for 700-800pp (bought mine for 780pp from vendor in SFG a few months back on Povar) And if you aquire this item at low levels, you might want to stick it in the bank or sell it and buy it back later. Zaharn's Coronet will be good enough until later levels and can be bought in GFay (or EC, depending on your server) for 150-250pp. Just my 2cp on the subject
Ok, I had planned on wearing a full suit of ES armor. Now that I have them all, I find it slightly if not wholly disappointing. The overly dark and solid green coloring is terrible! This helm looks God awful on my post Luclin female wood elf. The leggings are great, so are the gaunts and the vambraces. I have the boots and the bracers as well. I choose to wear one bracer and wear my eboots to relieve some of that dark heavy green with some gold. As for the helm, thank you...I will keep my square helm instead.
Well as of today, beastlords can not wear them, I have 2 accounts and checked it out myself, now maybe verant has plans on changing it, and just hasn't yet?
This is one of the few pieces of Elder Spiritualist's gear I own. The effect is unlimited triggered (right clickable). The duration is not fixed, its random. The minimum amout of time I have seen it drop was 5 min, and maximum about 35 min. This helm will only work if worn, but you can remove after using the effect. This works great for traveling with a small group, its nice to not haveto burn mana invis and re-invising your melees. The cast time is a shade under 10 seconds.
i need to quit dieing so i can get a few of these items..... but its kinda hard being the only healer in the group most of the time and a NON-TWINK.../grins as he hears all the gasps of shock and horror............ yes you herd me right NON TWINK, everything i own has been a hard battle to get, and once in a while in the right place at the right time. but i regress, time to go and try and lvl up and have the blast i have been, even in death
Okay you guys all say this helm sucks well are any of you a druid? If you were you would know that druids need to mem more then 8 spells at a time because they have such a wide varity of different spells. They have kiting spell, Soloing, and group spells. This is why Vernant made Elderspirit's armor to help druids not have to mem another spell slot. Sure it takes double the casting time but if you traveling in a group and there are 6 people think 60 >< 6 now thats alot of mana saved. My point is clear here and i am a druid i know from experience that this is a awesome helm and if any of you wana adress me please feel free to email me at Smithd@htc.net Thank you that is all!
most of the time you are casting invis, spell casting speed is imporant...you may very well be in enemy territory. and by the time you would be able to use this helm, invis mana is trivial. if the casting time was lower, it'd be a LOT better of an item.
I'm a druid, and I tell you, it's crap. Yes, we have a wide variety of spells. But as you said, we have Kiting spells, group spells etc, just mem the right ones. If you need superior camouflage, which is very situational and isn't a normal circumstance, you can just memorize it and then forget it after you're done casting.
did you ever think of the benefits to wearing this just once.... i have several chars as most do and i have found being invisable while medding and out of combat is a very nice thing heck cast that just before battle and instead of when the puller bring something in and getting hit for sitting i'm medding safely away. very nice indeed seeing that helms are big on the ole druid loot list
You got ripped off, should have bought a spell checker instead. :) But anyway... this Helm has nice AC, but nothing too great. Lack of stats on it make me wonder why people would use it now, other than to use a mana-free Invis. Wow, even at my level 35, I hardly notice the mana spent on an invis.
I have to say..at level 52 and needing camo for travel through and to lot of places we hunt regularly, like Kedge Keep, Sirens' Grotto, Kael, Sebilis, not to mention the planes...and given the awful untrustworthiness of the duration time for camo; I have found that it requires recasting many times. The only thing that has helped is having the group camo spell that drops in Luclin (sorry I don't know where or what drops it, it was given to me for a port). It still is very iffy, duration lasting from a few seconds to a few minutes, never the maximum, in my experience. I found this thread in my search for some insight into the factors that might extend that duration time...it seems to be normal for it to last until your group is in the middle of five mobs, then it drops off one member (usually me), thus training the whole group, as someone will instinctively hit or cast. sigh..continuing to search
Is this item a joke? ac 10 wgt 6 and free superior camouflage? and someone ACTUALLY sold one for 5K? Give me a Lumberjack's Cap any day if I was going for AC... at least it adds 3 to Sta and weighs 1.5!!
Double Sup. Camo cast time. It's completely useless unless you want to save yourself 60 mana. (Although in the long cast time you could just mem it, cast it, and remem other spell)
