Don't discount the 3 AC and +25 HP in range slot; not bad, especially for the low cost (see below). Also, a poison using rogue can poison primary and this weapon at same time, leave this in range, and switch out for double poisoning.

It's also very likely to find this item on the vendors in Jaggedpine for @35 plat, which makes it cheap and nice too.
umm

how on earth is this 125pp? i would think it'd go for like 1k considering how nice it is for rogues..

We got one off a Darkpaw Oracle. Don't know if it is exclusive to the oracles, but thats what dropped it for us.

12dmg/30dly is a real nice backstabber. A bit slow but not unreasonable. Decent step up for the Sturdy Grimling Mining Pick (which is non-magic). With a good haste buff this would suit a mid-level rogue just fine for quite awhile. Same dmg/dly ratio as the Slime Coated Harpoon that was all the rage for rogues for nearly 2 years.
Not too bad really...

I picked up one of these shafted pokers the other night with my druid, but seeing as how it was as useless as teets on a bull for him, I gave it to my 13th lvl bard.
I think it was a swell decision, really. The dmg/dly is okay for a toon of his lvl and the additional stats are'nt bad either; add to that the fact that it can be equipped in the pri, sec, or range slot and you've got a pretty slick little multi-purpose spear.
I don't know, maybe it's just me, but for a 'lil twink bard like mine I think it'll serve him well for at least several more lvls.

bonus Hp is bonus Hp, especialy for low level characters. AT first level this would be GODLY, by 5th level it's a nice little bonus. Decent speed, great damage potential later, a little AC (which, if you have bothered to twink a character won't matter at all because it should be at the AC cap until it reaches at least 15th level or longer) and the all important to twinks bonus HP (swinging speed and bonus HP are about the only things that arn't nerfed for low level characters. If your making a serious twink, go for low delay, bonus HP, and any kind of regen you can get. AC is nice, but it gets capped. Same for damage and mana. Stats are a distand third, but something to keep in mind. Might as well ignore saves till you reach 40's. Sure saves are great, but other things are more important for quite a while.)

12 damage, rogue usable. This thing is awesome for twinking rogues. Backstab city.

Also, as to "Might as well ignore saves till you reach 40's" I can't disagree more. Go fight some evil eyes, or the enchanter in najena, and you'll change your mind real quick. Being charmed is rather inconvenient.

Mt warrior ended up with some gear that had resists from a GM event, and its amazing how much less those annoying dots, nukes, stuns, etc. that the orc and goblin shaman cast, actually hit. Get smacked for a couple of 80pt dd's and double dotted, and you'll wish for resists.
