Hello, was just wondering if anyone knows what level this item is clickable at, thinking about purchasing a Damage Shield clickie for a twink on FV where all items except for EPICS are tradable.
Level 1.
At least, it doesn't say that it has a required level to use it.

The smithing item that drops in Seru is a Belt that's 10% modifier to smithing, Massive girdle of the forge. It drops off one of the guild leaders (i don't remember his name). Below are the 3 items known to drop with a modifier to smithing(per EQ Traders corner):
Massive girdle of the forge (drop in Sanctus Seru): +10% smithing
Hammer of the ironfrost (drop off Xerkizh the Creator in Temple of Ssraeshza): +15% smithing
Gauntlets of dark embers (drop off Kaas Thox Xi Ans Dyex in Vex Thal): +15% smithing

Q: If I have multiple enhancing items, does their effect stack or does it use the highest percentage one only?
A: According to the most recent communication with VI, the effects do NOT stack. Only the highest-bonus item of those you are wearing/wielding will apply.

The only problem with the Massive Girdle of the Forge is Race and Class restrictions. It's basically all the big races like Barbarians, Iksar, Trolls, Ogres and Vah Shir. For classes, it's ALMOST any class that can be played by these races. Beastlord, Shaman, Shadowknight, Bard, Rogue, and Warrior can equip it, but no monk as Iksars can play a monk.
It drops very frequently, most of the times I have been there it drops, so if you can equip it, it's a decent alternative.

15% mod to smithing 85hp/mana 15 str 10 sta/int wis 7 all saves
Nice gaunts, realy is one of those items best for whoever gets it. I can't see a real class advantage here.
Are there any other items besides this, the trophies, and the Geerlok items with tradeskill modiers?

Xerkish the Creator in Ssra temple drops a 15% smithing hammer (hammer of the ironfrost). There is a 10% smithing hammer that drops in seru too, though i don't know the name.

hehe its a targetable buff, I was casting it on everyone in the raid just for grins when I got em....
Can tradeskill modifiers stack? So, if I were to be wearing a pair of these gloves and have a geerlok hammer, would my smithing modifiers equal 10% or 5?

According to most message boards (check out EQ Traders) skill item modifiers DO NOT stack. THe highest modifier equiped will be used.
