Same with that erudite pally shield "sea storm" or something like that - INCREDIBLE stats - high ac, amazing str, etc. BUT it's only Erudite pally equipable. Why? Because erudite pallies have much less hp/ac/str than other races and it's a great way to make up for it.
Just so everyone knows, the shield in question is the Shield of the Stalwart Seas.

Posted: May 08 2002 at 10:30 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) i think they are trying to make up for their low WIS with this weapon because they start with a very )&*^&%^&$%^$# WIS mainly becuase they are more int based then the other pally races except for the erudites.Never pick an erudite cleric or paladin unless you want VARY VARY VARY VARY DIFFICULT class/race combo.

My main is an erudite cleric. I have not found him slow in anyway. There are some wonderful quests for erudite only items. The Midnight Sea Mail Tunic, arms and legs served me well till just recently at 40ish. I have 2 of the 3 quest items out of Paineel, open only to erudite and human clerics. Although the erudin newbie area is not the best it is not terrible, and Paineel is close by, a great newbie area, with the Warrens right close.
My wisdom is actually pretty high, and the high Int that comes with Erudites, has made it easy to keep my skills up. Besides, with 210 wis and 124 int currently, doing the trade skills for the coldain shawl quests has been uneventful.
One other thing I found, as the very rare cleric of Prexus, is that the imbued black pearl rings done in platinum give 5 wis/dex/agi.
I really enjoy being something other than the cookie cutter high elf or dwarf cleric. My look, and items are very distinctive, and I do get a lotta comments. But as well I function very well as a cleric, and frequently am the solo cleric for a group of low 50s, despite being only 45/46.

You tell 'em! I play as both the Low-WIS Half-Elf Druid and often-forgotten Gnome Warrior, and i urgeothers to break out of the mold! be something different, not the standard ogre or troll fighter or Wood elf or halfling druid, try something different for a change!
I've been getting that faction lately several times on a quest or kill or something.. I had no idea who "deep muses" was and its not listed here in factions.
Now i have to go figure out what the heck was giving me the faction!
I wonder if they're going to adjust the Halfling pally (and ranger and druid, and all the dark elf) weapon... this one owns it. Even a bit better than the halfling rogue weapon I'd say.

i think verant's basing the armor on there stats and since halfling pally stats are better than gnomes, the gnomes get the better weapon but who knows with verant it is verant after all lol

i see what you mean,but the halfing pally weapon is still a POS.It needs to be changed to 2hs and given better stats.your friggin' newbie weapon is better than the sword they give you.
