What lvl does this proc at? It is usuable by all rogue and bard races. Or at least I think so I didn't write down all the races but as of this post it can be equiped. My bard has 0 for a skill in piercing so I cant tell you what proc rate is like. It did want to proc but at 19th I am too low. Thx for any info

This spear is a rogue only item and can only be equiped by a rogue. I had killed this guy just a few days ago with my bard. And the item was indeed,rogue only. Besides, why get this spear when you can get a shattered bone dirk dirt cheap in the bazaar,and it is an 8/27 dagger with the same effect. The SBD procs at lvl 27, and is by far much a much better.
I've personally killed this guy 10 times (with endless placeholders...) and gotten the grimling armband of servitude every time...i suppose this is his rare...glad i wasn't there for several more hours only to get this, i would be pissed.
A spear with +wis and engulfing darkness? brd/rog only? Besides the fact that it's obviously broken, or 'unfinished' this is an odd item. Would be nice for a ranger...what does bard or rogue need with wisdom??

its not the wisdom in question for these classes and what they cannot do with it but WHAT they CAN do with it...this is a great addition and one i know bards at least have been waiting on..the engulfing darkness proc is great for kiting..with the proc and the fear effect or song that bard or rogue has they no longer have to run forever or twist extra songs to keep a mob under control...any type of snare effect on weapon is a blessing for any class and now they got one for a bard woot..now if they would just fix the broken race issues

Posted: May 01 2002 at 2:26 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) I would never kite with this weapon for snare, a proc is far to unreliable for that. might be nice when it kicks in and you dont have to twist snare for 1.5mins but that's it pertty much. very nice in pkill though i believe.
I looted this the other day and it has NONE listed as race: Since I am SK and was solo I cannot test it out to see if equippable. Anyone else know?

I looted one about two days ago. It is not equipable. Race still says none on mine.
