There are 3 versions of "onyx wolf" so we need to know specifically which zone you got the drop in. This is true for any item drop. Also, watch for typos because sometimes they put NPC in the game wrong (in this case they did not, or there is no known "oxyn wolf" in the database) and it just gets more confusing on this end of things.
add an onyx wolf to the mobs that can drop pieces. =)
