Did this quest rather quickly in Misty Thicket today. Had more success getting the thorn drakeling scales on the west side (harder) of the wall. These gloves remain a significant upgrade from the gloomingdeep tutorial set so worth doing if you don't have better.

Pretty nice for untwinked newbies and for those wanting "reasonable turnout" (=lewt) quests at lower levels....
The cleric stuff is pretty neat, while the ranger armour ( and the weapon) are sucky... - most Splitpaw stuff is better anyway.... oh well, too few hobbit clerics anyway ;)

I've seen Verant do it again and again. Now they are nerfing characters. I started a half elf ranger when I first started now they have halfling rangers w/ insanely great starting stats. Now they have awesome stat boosting starting armor all for halflings. My little ranger had to go w/ banded all the way till could ivy etched give me a break if Verant is gonna bring out this only for halflings that is so wrong they lvl faster than anyone(gets rid of -5% hybrid exp penalty). In my opinion if one race of a class gets some new awesome armor all races should it's only fair. Sorry but I had to vent, it's like twinkin for the untwinked...but only if you play a certain class/race combination. Is Verant trying to get all ppl who start new rangers to make halflings, plz no, we need some variety.

first verant put these few new clas/race combo's in because many people asked for it.
second, they are working on these kinda armors for all classes i am sure (DE was first, and no new classes there)
third,it is not like this armor will change anything in norrath, jeez, it's still newbe armor,with some nice stats, and ok for up to lvl 15-20 or so, but then you will head on to ivy,rygorr etc.
in short, quit your whineing(sp?)
