We really need an item window pic that doesn't obscure the weapon icon with muffins!

Confirmation that this does still have the two known drop locations (Karnor's and City of Mist) would be appreciated. It's a bit odd, both multiple reports from 2001-2004 echo this as fact.

A pic of someone wielding this item would also be appreciated.

Read deep into the thread for a historical account of when you can expect to get a group in Karnor's...

I was hunting in DL and decided i didnt like it, as a 41 cleric, so i went in and found a 54 Necro soloing and he invited me. We were hunting at the enterance to KC and the second mob he pulled had the club and he didnt want it so i took it. If anyone on The Rather server wants it let me know, you can have for like 400p or there abouts, i have a paw of opolla which has 9 wis, but is a good wisdom caster item.

I have a friend who has a 51 paladin. I'm a 39 monk. Anyway, he started a monk and I happened to have a pair of polished steel ulaks in my bank account. Asked if he wanted 'em and he offered me this club. I'm doin some pretty nice damage with a centi warhammer and the springwood club. He told me that the club wasn't that nice but I could have it if I wanted. I can hit for mid 50's with the centi and high 40's with the club, so I'm gonna stick with it. Take care all, this is a sweet weapon.

Whoever says groups in KC dont need druids has obviously never grouped with them. Next to a chanter, druids are a definate to have in your group. If your puller happens to pull 3 or 4 mobs at a time (which happens often in KC due to the pathing) a chanter can AoE mez, but what if there is no chanter available? Hey Druid!!!! I cast ensnare to gain aggro on them one at a time, pull them to a far off corner and root them, repeat until the MT has only one mob to worry about. This worked very effectively in our group in LCY when we had quite a few cursed hands trying to close thier fists on us, so to speak. Druids are a great utility character...mini-cleric for baby heals and mini-chanter for crowd control, add that to our dots, dd's, damage shields, and other utility spells and you have a complete package useful in any group.

KC Camp etc

For a start, don't go leaping into KC at 39 - nobody will want you. I've seen low 40s clerics and chanters there, casters should wait till they have 44 spells and 45 is really when you should move here, otherwise you're a liability.

Have been levelling on and off in KC since 45 at every camp spot (53 now) and have seen this drop twice, both this afternoon, both from curates. My guess is that it is a random drop off any undead - have not heard of it dropping off dogs.

I don't know about the horror tale of getting quad nuked for 600 - the worst damage I've seen has been HTs pulling out of hand room. Basement trains will also roll over you in a second, but in general KC is not what I'd regard as a high risk zone with a good chanter and a reasonable healer. I've also camped left CY with one chanter and 5 mages...was amazing!

this dude had another inventory window open ABOVE the PIC of the club. The inventory pic looks just like a wooden club, and when equiped, it looks like a wooden club. Oh and that looks like a leg chopper to me , but several swords have the same inventory pic. One last thing, i got this in the City Of Mist, I wonder why it only list KC.
KC

FYI camping in KC at any level can be dangerous especially when a mob summons you to the basment for your death (which happened to my full group of 51+ campin RC lol). As for where this drops I have seen 2 drop recenty and they were both of Skellys (not sure which ones). The drops were in RCY and RC (out of moat). I first went to KC at 48 and fould it hard to survie anything but RC/LC and ive seen high AC warriours with 3k HP get whacked down faster than a complete heal. (this happened in RCY the warrior was quad nuked for 600+ DD).
A good well rounded party with bard/chanter and cleric is essential here.

Good luck friends and safe travells.

I traded a Hero Bracer for one these. As luck would have it a 47th Druid shouted they wanted to trade for a hero bracer. I had a Hero Bracer on me had just camped the Mino Hero for his shackle to replace the Hero Bracer when I sold mine. I was on my way to BB to try to get a port. So I said what the hell, I'll give him a tell and he says "I'll give you a Springwood Club for your Bracer." Its a big improvement over my Icy Blade which I was using with my SSoY and what ranger couldn't use some extra strength and wisdom.
traded a silver ring!!!!!
# Aug 15 2001 at 5:10 AM Rating: Decent
I am a lvl 13 shammy in BB when a shout goes out looking for a silver ring. She trades me the ring and a velium etched stone mace for this club I didnt care about the ring and upgraded my weapon. Talking about being in the right place at the right time huh
is it obtainalble

what lvl do you have to be to obtain
RE: is it obtainalble
# Aug 02 2001 at 7:47 AM Rating: Excellent
If you can get into a group in Karnor's Castle, which I've seen done as low as 39, it's obtainable. Just that in any given group, there'll be at least one other person that more than likely wants one as well, so keep that in mind.

39 in kc? hmmmmmm in a group ? hmmmmmmmm u sure? was the group hard up for a chanter? that is the only thing i could think of that u could bring into kc at 39 and would have an effect.
RE: is it obtainalble
# Aug 13 2001 at 1:58 AM Rating: Decent
I forgot to mention. Although you may be able to find a group in KC at 39 (as a cleric), you probably wont be able to get into a basment group (where this drops). Hands/Warlord and Basement (the two camps that have easiest access to this the easiest) are usually higher level groups than the rest of KC as some of the mobs you will fight can be above level 50 (bodyguards, warlord, Verix Remains, etc.) So I changed my mind..Not very easy to obtain at 39 :)
RE: is it obtainalble
# Aug 12 2001 at 8:35 PM Rating: Decent
I started hunting in KC at 39. I almost always got groups. Tanks would have a hard time, but this weapon is usually a cleric weapon, and being a cleric I got in groups in KC at 39. That would make this obtainable :)
RE: is it obtainalble
# Aug 29 2001 at 6:45 AM Rating: Default
Guess the question for starters was about obtainability and 39 isn't the lvl for that. This guy claims to get a group in KC at 39 because he's a cleric and I agree that in a emergency I could go for a 39 cleric if I was sitting on the left or right moat. Reason being that there it's mostly a question of a heal or two in battle and then downtime healing. It would be slow going and far from an ideal situation. I would never ever get the idea to camp some of the unique npc's in this zone with a 39 cleric, that's just absurd, you would die fast and hard. Getting into the basement is even more of a stupid idea with a 39 cleric. My group consisting of me (49sk), a 55 cleric, a 54 warrior, a 54 chanter and a 51 monk had a complete wipeout in there. Admittedly it was a pull gone bad and we had the entire basement coming down on us but still. I'd say that the level at which you can obtain this is about 46. Most mobs are blue to me down there at 49 so a lvl 46 member of a group should still be effective. The hard thing about the basement is that it is tight quarters and absolutely impossible to singel pull. You have to have an fd:er as a puller and find the room to do some tagging techniques else you'll create a little train of your own coming down on your group. Once in a while there's a room pop which forces you to have the timing down and be sure not to have pulls incoming. All in all a fun and challenging hunting ground but oh so dangerous. Key is good crowd control (i.e. a good chanter), good group dynamics and a good understanding of your present role. Fortunatly KC is a zone visited by many and you are never forced to make the choice of a lvl 39 cleric because there are many more of higher lvl there lfg (at least on the Rathe server). ONe more thing: even if you don't get any good drops from the mobs in here (got 2 black jacks which are crap) the exp is amazing so it's not a waste of time as some camps can be =)

Thing is, it isn't just basement that drops this item on Tholuxe. I've seen it drop in RCY with my 51 warrior twice. However, to defend the purists, it's dropped in basement 8 times in the same time frame. This is over a period of 4 months.

Would I go there with my 30 shaman? Only to loot Jarsath armor, and even then I won't do it... I'm crazy, but not suicidal. :)
