this quest is a good way for a newbie to get an idea of the game, but you are right, the quest sucks balls and so does the reward

yes concidering a Targ shield AC 7 sometimes drops off a level 2-3 skelleton out here just outside of town. but its cool a monk can equip, should also be "back" slot equipable... that might make it worth it. its fairly heavy however also.

This is just a newbee quest, you could do this quest in about an hour. Just look at the wussy monsters you have to kill, how much of a reward whould you give someone for stomping on a kitten?? Yea this shield sucks but think of it as bonus xp for stuff you would likely kill anyway. Just sell the shield or give it to a newbee.

You can easily pick up a targ shield of a skeleton if you hunt in the FoB long enough. I've recovered many from decaying all the way to scalebones and all under 10th level.

You'd like to "jackslap" them, but you're too busy sitting on YOUR fat *** all day playing their crap quests and crap items. We all are, the only difference is that some complain and whine to a brick wall and others just enjoy ourselves.
