I killed all in camp. starting with perimeter mobs. then killed several shaman mobs. Found out most of the shaman had the medal on them.
Yep, the kickoff for this quest is insanely easy now. No need to try to pop Coin Couriers or spawn boss mobs at all.
Hello all, i've been trying to get the Copper Medal of War (pre-quest thingy) for about a month now, it NEVER drops for me. I've had some trackers help me n if it's on tracking but only 2.0 guys are on tracking. Did anyone else have a problem getting medal?
Started with perimeter mobs and killed all. Killed several of the shaman and found out most of them had medal on them. Did this easy at lvl 52.

I think the epic quest has been fixxed. I took the Copper medal of war to Dumul the other day and he told me I needed to know more about the spirit realm before he'd take it. So, I'm guessing they fixed the bug and you can't get the epic until 51 now. Oh yeah, as soon as I got 51 I went to him and he took it first try, so it wasn't a bug with my account or anything. Hopefully this helps someone out.

1 Slot, Type 4, just like most weapons.
This has a 3% increased chance to proc over the default proc rate of weapons (according to unknown070 value).
The effect is worn not proced. (They changed that some time ago.)

Look is great..but you can't beat the stats on this thing. 55% slow is great for soloing or duoing plus the 40% haste on the secondary goes good with WLK. Definately worth getting untill you get something uber off VT or RT.

Yeah me and nite did a ldon in ever frost i was suprised when i saw his epic claws but its true i think you have to be atleast 30+to do your epic if you are a bstl. hey nite remember me its cool to see a friend on this site give me a tell when ever.

Everyone keeps sayin you neeed to be this level or that levelto start your epic. But.. a couple days ago a 31bst sends me a tell on mithaniel marr askin me if i had my epic (i of course said no because i didnt.) He then told me to come and inspect him, I asked him why cuz I was kinda busy atm trying ta take Issabella and a Storm Dragonchaser but then he linked the 2 epic peices and i left my pet to solo them and ran to inspect him. And sure enough he had them. I was surpried as hell and couldnt beleive at 31 you could have your epic. I asked if he had a bunch of high level friends and he repplied no that a couple of kind strangers had just helped him.
And for those that don't believe me, his name is Nitebeast and he will gladly show off his epic too you =).

hehe, yes i do have my epic at lvl 30..not that hard to get and yes complete stranges did help me. For anyone else i know how to get other classes.there epic at lower lvl.

well bst epic is the only epic you can do below lvl 46 because theres no plane drops and i saw a lvl 1 bst with her epic the other day lol

Hey all, I have a 31 beastlord (great class!!fun as hell) but ya what lvl can u egt and hand in the book to start the quest? I keep on hearing 46 and thats what i think it is, but would just like to know, thanks =)

lvl 51 for the book part, but I would just skip it and do the medel quest in Grimling Forest and hand that in to start it myself. You can do that part at lvl 46 and it will start you on the Epic Quest. The book is really not needed for anything besides story line.

Anyone know what a better combo is with this entwood or waning. i belive waning because it has better ratio and added wis plus a nice proc. Was just interested thanks

WLK is h2h which is the only Beastlord weapon skill that goes to 250 (others max at 225), it has a better ratio and it has a proc. Pretty easy choice really.

As far as this epic goes..it has awsome stats and ratio.Its good for only 1 reason they are new to game.imagine if a pally was new would his epic be so.....blah mabey not but if your whinning about epic not that good..i think its because you dont have the resources to get and you say it is crap or you just a whiner that wants everything on a platter

You can start beastlord epic at lvl 1 if you want to, it's not that hard. See, there is the historian lady (big pain in the ***) well you can skip right around here, have a beastlord lvl 50+ talk to her, then do to Durmul, have the 50+bst hand him the book, then you hand him the medallion, and there you go, u get the box and your first seal, i finished the beastlord epic with my iksa at lvl 40 on the drinal server. try it sometime if you don't believe me.
P.S. even after i finished epics, the stupid ****** historian still wouldn't give me the quest, even tho i was waving my epics in her dam face.
P.S.S. Some people say that bst epics suck, and that PoP weps r better, well no **** sherlock, PoP r better, but till the day u join the lvl 65 required guild that is fookin uber, then u are not gunna get those weps, so i suggest u shut ur dam hole.

I believe you since one day when I was out in Deadlands with my Shammy I was grouped with a 41 bl that did have his epics.

I am trying to find a group of people of different class to help me with this epic.There is no way you can do it alone or with a small group. Im a lvl 49 BST almost 50 and to find people that will help thru most of of battles is very hard.
Epics generally follow the rule of HP + Mana = 100 bonus. These claws are combined for 175 HP bonus. Good stuff.

You do not have to be level 50 or even 46 to get your epic. There are bsts that have obtained it at 44. Just skip the first part. You don't have to talk to the historian. If you do he'll tell you you're to young. This is just part of the story line and not required to complete the epic Skip him and move on to and finish the "Copper Medal of War" quest. Turn the medal into Elder Animist Dumul (again no need to talk to him just turn in the medal) He'll give you the seal and you can continue on.

Why is recom. level 46 and you have to be level 50 to get it? Does this mean it is actually possible to get this item at level 46 opposed to level 50? To be honest this item seems a bit like a waste when it would, at level 50, probably be easier to get better NO DROP weapons then these anyway. Anyone try this at less then level 50?

right the reason this is 46 i believe is because we can't start out epics untill 46, i have a 45 beasty on veeshan and tried to begin my epic the other day and the person it starts with (historian sharar) tells you to go hunt more large rats unless you are 46 just like most PC's epic quests

What weapons could you get at level 50 that are better than these? Remember, we are talking about 13/22, tons of stats, 40 atk and haste and a slow + dot proc.
And that's level 50 with no AA and a level 50ish guild. Not VT/emp guilds with 80+ AA per person.

firstly i was wrong for anyone reading this you need to be lvl 50 to start this.
secondly at lvl 50 there isnt anything better you could get in my opinion, but what i meant was that eventually you can get PoP gear which IMHO is marginally better than this.for example:

maybe you failed to read the required level on those weapons you just posted (65) so getting epic first would be a pretty good idea before going after those bad boys
Ate do forgive me on my newbiness in that previous post, i don't know what i was thinking, especially saying that those are only marginally better when exquisite puresteel are end game H2H weapons.
I have my epic now and also WLK though so got better than epic in primary at least.

To start the quest AT THE BEGINING, you have to be 50+, but to start it at the 1st battle, you can be ANY lvl. Once you start the 1st mini battle and get the reward from it, you can finish the epic. HELL, i bet any class can get a set of these puppys....

I find it kinda unfair since they can hit with swiftwind for about 70-90dmg, while the monks only do 56 and 60dmg with fists at 60 =P. But hey I got a ranger >D so hes lucky. hahahaha

SOE/VI doesn't seem to be doing rogues any favors as of late, but we are still the lords and masters of overall damage per second. Except when he's bowkiting, I don't think I've ever been outdamaged by a ranger of similar level in my entire roguish carear.
Since rogues have to be fairly well behind a mob to backstab it, I would say that rogues also have "situational" DPS, since they can't backstab unless the situation allows it. 
Wizards can't nuke without mana, rogues can't backstab unless they're behind a mob, rangers can't use a bow if one or two hairs on the mob are touching a wall, etc., it's all situational.

guess verant is running outa ideas, decided to copy ranger epics, i figure since beastlords are lords of beast or something, they should have atleast an epic pet or something. why dont they put some time into the ranger class and actually make them a decent class?

I'm not sure what kind of Ranger you're playing, but my 52 Ranger does just fine thank you. Over the past 9 months we've been improved to the point of being one of the most powerful, survivable melee classes.
Just my opinion of course, but judging by the number of young rangers I've seen grow up over the past few months (much more, it seems, than used to be running around Norrath), I'd say that many others agree.

Hmm, I have a naked 54 ranger that took me 5 months to level, and now i have a 57 BL that took me a month and a half with 4 AA's.. 16 hours of play.. /em trashes old ranger..
lets see...because mages are the only ones with an epic pet, and it makes us unique...verants already screwed us enough, i dont think they would dream of taking our epic pet away.

Interesting analysis. But having the only pets that zoned with their master used to be a beastlords unique feature,but as you prolly know that was taken away; much like your mod rod clarity. What would be the harm of another class with an epic pet. Its an animal not an elemental.
Guess I'm missing your point but sounds like you may want to switch to playing another class..those "sourgrapes" are gonna mess with the fun factor you still have as a mage. Yes I have played a beastlord,just wasnt my thing. But I still play and Love to play my Mage.

umm, i think awesome pet heals are pretty unique. not to meantion being able to melee and having an awesome pet. just some stuff to think about.
if the beast epic was a pet or a pet focus item that would in no way cause mages to lose their epic pet. this type of convoluted logic blows my mind
the newbie claw quest is NOT broken i have all the newbie claws on my 18 Vah Shir Bst

The Name on both of the Epics are the same, they're both lore... How can you have both?? I thought that you couldn't have the same named items on one char that are lore. hehe

All items in the game are assigned a unique vnum, as are all other pieces of interactive atmosphere.
You may not have to items of the same vnum, if it is lore, but multiple items of various vnums may share the same name.
People used to think the name was an identifying feature, but it's jsut a tag on the end of the programming of an item or number, however, there is a feature which checks these tags for character naming. That feature doesn't seem to work 100% of the time however as I once saw a character named Trunt running around Everfrost.

There are four items called A Rune of Ivy. All four are LORE and have the same name and you can all of them at once cuz they are all different items despite having the same name. LORE means you can only have one of that item, not item w/ that name.
Same with those scrolls that drop from the Gnolls outside of Splitpaw, they have the same name, but there are 4 different ones. Usually if you cast identify on them if will tell you which of the 4 it is.

I saw it on a barbarian. Looks like a claw with sort a plate thingy that goes over the top of the hand and stops at the wrist. Talons aren't as long as other claws, but they look wider. The weapons have a blue flame radiating off them. Very cool.
If anyone else has seen them please add your descriptions too, I'm not very good at describing weapons.

all the epics have somethign radiating from them looks like this one is the blue flames like you said.

Man a rogue is not supposed to be noticable , its not fittig there class to be hidden and having there weapon give away their location , think about it...

The blue flames are generated through a spiritual connection to nature, intense meditation and an intimite bond with the spirit world.
