Got this sword 3 days ago, and i love it,and since there were only 2 paladins on the raid I had a 50/50 shot....lol

I have been using this weapon for about 2 months now. I've loved every moment of it.
On ANY raid I have not gotten aggro from the MA, and in situations where I HAVE been MA, it's helped considerably. I've been parsed around 35 - 40 DPS against regular mobs, 45 - 50 DPS with undead with this sword at level 62.
Now, I DO find myself often getting aggro IF the MA and SA have gone down, but this is considerably better than, say, the main healer getting munched.
As far as stats... we did AL two weeks in a row - both times he dropped the Sword of Lost Crusades, but he hasn't dropped it for us again yet.

Eh -- If your referring to the Pally Epic, the 35/40 may not seem great but something about it is just nice. It procs way more then it should, helping to dish out damage, and the proc does agro but doesn't outtaunt a good Warrior if you don't want it to. If this thing Proced half as much as the Pally Epic proced, the stun would make this unusable for any Pally not trying to have agro.
Anyways, if you think this is one of the only weapons with better ratios then 35/40, there are much more out there, and its all the same deal, I would not forfeit your epic unless you find something totally amazing, this in my mind not being better in some cases. Nice weapon tho =)

I have this and it rocks.This is Better than the crappy Paladin Epic. With C3 and VoG a paladin can solo well with this but it does draw a lot of aggro in groups and raids even without taunting. Regardless I will never stop using it

Actually I'm gonna have to disagree about the agro. I've used this blade on numerous fights including AoW, HP, AL, Cursed, Glyphed/Exiled..and haven't pulled agro from our warriors once. That's with using LoH on the warrior who tanked AoW too.

*sigh* I met up with a paladin on saryn who was level 46...and had one... Name was pallidus =D. He said his friends guild (or his guild) did a raid and nobody wanted it...so they Call of Heroed him in and he got to loot it.. Oh my what a lucky lil b-word.
This weapon is currently the most damaging 2HS available. It outdamages the heartwood flamberge, and palladius axe (despite the ratio being slightly lower .. this is due to the lower delay adding the damage bonus more often).

to Duriko : No, this does not go with the "devine stun" ... if you check the AA you'll see that "devine stun" is an ACTIVATED effect. Its not passive in other words.

What is the proc damage..and is this a common drop? what is your max hit with this? thanks

I have this weapon and its pretty good, correct in saying can lead to a fast death on a highend raid cause I have been there. Better for soloing and such or that slim chance you are main tank in a grind group for agro purpose. I doubt i would use it in a duel though.

Hmmm why would you make this your alt-weapon its much better than your Falchion lets see 10 more dmg only 1 more dly 15ac 15sta 3wis 100hps 100mana 10sv dis and poison even if yours is 1hander which i admit I dont know your shield cant be much better than stats I just mentioned and the dmg would make you deal what like 25% more dmg? hmmm..../shrug

The Dark-Metal Falchion is a 1-hander. If I played a paladin and had both, I would definetly stick with this one. This is like a 1hander and a shield together. You get the stun from the effect that takes the place of a shield, plus the added ac and stats of a shield. Plus with a ratio like this, I dont know to many things that could beat it.

Well, I usually use my Darkmetal Falchion because I have a 40 ac stat shield. The extra ac really helps a ton.
With weapons like this I now have to start traning my 2hs! And I so desperately wanted to keep the sword and shield look! Oh well at least Ive still got 34 levels to improve it.

Even tho I dont play a pally this is a sweet weapon..just for the stats alone...good luck and grats to all the pallys that get this..well good hunting and safe journey to all.

Hehe if you ever see this post I want to duel you with this thing. Now to go find an uber guild so I can get it, lol. Stats on this are awesome, SV disease and poison too for all you SK's who wanna duel :)

this is great for pallies doing a bit of soloing or going about the land saving younger players in their off time. I can only imagine what the text screen would look like...especially with an uber haste item.
