Once you have the camp and the bridge locked down you can kill the Commanders and Refugee fairly quickly, they are on a 7 minute timer (roughly). Got 2 Rusty Spiked Shoulderpads in about 1 hour... These are great for giving to charmed pets to lower their magic resist's so you have less Charm breaks...
Best way to get here is to enter Blackburrow and fall through the tree on the left, you'll land in water and this is where the bridge camp is (Just clear placeholders (Shaman, Elite Gnoll's), the main camp is same area but further in by the spikes on the floor...

Enchanters out there on TLP, this is a cheap, easily farmable option to give to charm pets and assist with all those resists.
These also drop occasionally from a Gnoll Commander.
I think I like its upgrade, Spiked Shoulderpads, a bit more :)

Yes, but only a couple silver more, nothing much.
The only reason to wear these in place of banded/ring shoulders is to slam magic only mobs like wisps and ghouls. If you're a melee class, don't give up ac for stats. If you're a cleric or shaman don't give up ac for any stat but wis. And neg10 mr? 'Nuff said.

i have these and the are good for str witch i need i also need my sv magic SO... i need a shoulder pad that has 10 or so str but has ok ac 5 or so and no -10 sv magic!! plz RE me and tell me what they have. I can only dig up about 200pp being a nontwimk is hard hehe (i only have 176 wis at lvl 27 =0) but i have no money i was given my stuff by my good friend in his will ( he had to quit the game /cry ) i am in loio and on the nameless server plz contact me their or here r e-mapl me at clayjoe3106@hotmail.com

I've been wearing these for a while since I got them from a clover room raid but I'm going back to my banded mantle since I started noticing far more damage from orc shamen and other casters. Might have considered keeping them if I was a Warrior but as a Shaman I'd rather have better AC than higher STR...

Killed Splitpaw Commander as L 10 Barb Rogue. I'm strong enough and have great armor - where's the best place to sell this?

At levels below 15 where you rarely run into magic users it is a good deal. I have reached level 18 wearing it although when you run into strong magic users like Splitpaws and Orc Shamen it can be uncomfortable. I have seen this dropped a couple of times in BB.

Who drops this armor??
ive spent plenty of time in black burrow and ive seen about 3 drop. off refugee splitpaw and off gnoll commanders. i raised a 12 ranger, 9 shaman, 14 monk, and 17 druid all in bb. probably the best drop that they have along with the onyx earrings.

Got one off an elite in blackburrow. It is good verse the fighters and nonmagic users,
but when I get into a fight with the gnoll shaman, I switch back to banded armor. It seems to help their casting ability.
