on my way raising faction. I was not exactly counting kills and points, excepting that at 1 point per kill it would take a while. But all of a sudden one day I was no longer amiable - I had jumped to kindly. I was happy. I made a mental note. Then within a week I was warmly and suspicious. I made a specific note and when I turned ally I went back and checked my logs and parser. Using my knowledge of faction, I expected kindly to require 500 points, warmly 700 points. From my logs and parser it seems it took approximately 260 kills to go through kindly. Allowing some leeway since the exact moment I went to kindly was unknown, I suspect the faction chart here is half what it is elsewhere. I then went 359 more points / kills and made ally. Of course I could not see I was ally till I left the instance, so I was a few kills over. and 350 x 2 = 700, so proved.
Took this long, off and on trying, but I maxxed out finally. took 788 points since I noticed I was ally. So probably is 800 pts on the faction chart - people like even numbers like that.
Picked up the task : Clearing a path. Planned on killing undead to work this faction. It is annoying to get the undead portion of the task in the first place, and killing a reanimated reaver, a tireless crusader, a cadaverous evoker - while they all do give faction with Dead Hills Archaeologists - its only 1 point. My parser shows that the evoker had 1.4 million hp and the other two had 1.9 million. it wont be fast to work this faction up that's for sure.
