Least of my worries...I've been away 8 months and trying to remember what the fark to do. I still have my level break quests to do as well....

Yes, we were. I was the rusty *** BLM who forgot to put RR up and died in the middle of some sweepers. Told you guys I was out of practice >.>
On a side note....just finished my 95 limit break quest. Just one more to go...

Your BLM was certainly outshining my SCH's nukes by a large margin, so I wouldn't call you rusty.

I'm in full teal gear. I'm level 90. Yeah, I call myself rusty :P
I'm also in (mostly) teal gear. :D
to be fair SCH doesn't get much gear before Emp and VW stuff anyway, its mostly the same crap BLM and RDM wear, and to be fair to BLM it is the nuking class and with proper Atma a 90 BLM should be out nuking a 95 SCH (or 99) due to native MAB traits.
Lastly, the only part about SCH (or RDM) worth complaining about is healing, a level 60 WHM can still (naked) out heal a 99 RDM or SCH (maybe not with new mechanics but they aren't active yet on Test server (afaik), or live.)

I'll admit that I didn't have the proper atma for max nuke damage. I was under the assumption I'd be healing and supporting, but the group needed nukers badly.
As a SCH, I tend to play the job as it's described (i.e. the "military tactician"). I do not necessarily adapt my playstyle for max nukes, max healing potency, etc. I try to gear myself well enough that I can adequately fill in any role at an above average level. Don't get me wrong, I certainly try to gear my SCH to be the best it can be in each area, but I'm more concerned about being able to fill any role, on the fly.

I wouldn't feel too bad about that. I've been back for 9 months, just recently hit 99, and I'm still in at least 2/5 Perle most of the time.

Don't be silly, it's very easy for a SCH to out damage a BLM when doing single nukes. The downside that while the high damage is nice, SCH is still missing nice utilities like stun, manawall, and aga farming. Oh and I almost forgot about yellow triggers.
But SCH has a cool tassle on their hat.

Nah, to me, tassels = tarucopter.
Strategically placed tassles > all, though they usually end up looking more like an airplane propellor than a tarucopter.
So I've been back for a few weeks now and have managed to get myself uncapped and get THF DNC and WHM to 99. It's been a hectic whirlwind of trying to gear up my jobs so when people /check me they don't immediately /laugh. Are any of you guys still at the point where you need to farm seals? I'd love to team up with some of the returning guys (and gals) at some point and bang some of that stuff out. I'm currently in the BHoU linkshell right now and everyone has been super friendly and awesome, but they don't really spam endgame events like I'm used to doing in my older shells.
I have to say though that my favorite thing since coming back has been seeing Gatelord in the same ******* corner he has been sitting in for the past 8 years.

I'm still farming seals and +2 items. /befriend Tijet whenever I'm online and we can try to work on them together.
