Well our thread is still here, and honestly what happened in here was a lot worse than just spamming in the last thread.

One poster's behavior shouldn't affect an entire thread. That's pretty much the entire point of what we're talking about.
So yes, the thread is still open after one poster was misbehaving. This is proper moderation, not 'being nice'.
Still though, I don't see why spamming here (or the original 10K) should be a problem. It's not interrupting the subject; since the topic, OP, and all posters have agreed that there is not subject to the thread which can be interrupted.

I will admit though, the spamming got a bit out of hand... but I think a simple "stop spamming guys" would have been a lot more friendly and effective than locking a 32 page thread that everybody was obviously enjoying.
About those bad nyzul runs from page 5
I dunno, I do my own random shouts myself when i need to spam a gear floor and the only time i really lose is when we get a cerb and the lil ******* is spaming his hopolon, or a bad flayer floor and the shout results didnt have enough healing power, (remedied on future shouts)
Recently took a break from shouting tho... damn askar body doesnt wanna drop :(

I've been a moderator for a forum for the past few years. While it's seen better days, it once had quite a booming community. Not nearly as large as this site, mind you, but it was a healthy community. Not once did I, or the other moderators and administrators, act so unprofessionally when it was time to moderating threads.
Seriously. A polite warning will often suffice. Especially here in this thread where the intention is to just relax and have a good time.
That's right you mentioned that at one point. What forum (if you're at liberty) did you moderate for?
