New "freemium" online MechWarrior game. It's in closed beta atm and I am DLing the client currently. Looks promising so far. I used to be a hardcore MW4 player back in the day. BZ/VL leagues etc. Was kind of fun when I discovered it because I reconnected with old MS zone friends that I had not talked to in 10 years.

Game is still NDA btw so I won't be able to talk details on the beta yet.

Any other old MechWarriors around here?

I wonder how well it would play with the controller from this game.

I burned out a bit after closed beta. Was waiting for 8 man teams to come back so I could play with my team instead of drooling puggies. But I hit it in bursts, played a bunch right before the catphract patch to save c-bills for a phract. Then I bought Dark Souls so I have not played since.

I need to get on this weekend though and keep my skills up since 8 mans are back now.

I still play occasionally. Not so much now that I've unlocked the Elite efficiencies for my AC/20 Cat. None of the modules are particularly worth putting in the effort to unlock Master, and I can only shoot so many mechs in the face before I get bored. I know it's still in beta, but the game really needs more modes and maps.

Right now I'm in the Firefall beta (the keys Zam has to give away are only good for the weekend events, you can be invited to the full beta and play anytime) which is interesting. I've only played it a few hours, so I haven't played enough to really form a solid opinion. It's not bad so far though.
