8th anniversary scavenger huntFollow

This thread is meant for exchange of info on the 8th anniversary scavenger hunt: Quest infos, mobs that drop the needed items etc. I'm gonna edit this message every time we get new information on the qest.

The 5th, 6th and 7th anniversary scavenger hunts (see links below) are up again too!

The Anniversary Festivities will be available from March 16, 2007 through April 16, 2007.

I still have an extra combined bag from the sixth anniversary, I was hoping that when the seventh came around, the quest giver would come abck and I could get a second elixir. But when the seventh happened that did not work out.

What level is your warrior? There may be different quests for different levels...

Warrior is 60, RNG is level 71.

And cripes, Ssra is so full of Fableds it looks like a Fabled Wet Dream, bleh. Fabled Cursed Cycle, anyone?

SOE may have just recycled the Staff of Endless Adventure as the reward for this collection quest - which is why my main (71 RNG) can't get the backpack or note from the NPC (and why she says thanks for helping, even though he hadn't collected any Luclin items yet - she thinks that he's done it already). It's the only thing I can think of.

If SOE just recycled the reward for the collection quest, I'm going to be a little miffed - I actually look forward to these as they're fun to do - but to recycle something like this just seems like someone at SOE was just lazy and didn't want to be bothered to make one interesting item. Or anything.

Hopefully they'll respond to questions on the EQ Live boards on this and say they'll fix it. I won't hold my breath though.

Greyhopper in MS drops the skin.

However someone had all 10 and the bag won't combine so there are 3 possibilities:

1: like last year there are more than 1 quest giver. I have not heard of any other though so it's not likely

2: someone had problem getting the quest so the quest may be bugged so it cant be finished yet

3: 1 or more collector items are decoy and won't do anything but annoy us.

narpok's 10 items worked the elemental focus comes from twilight sea. not sure waht all these other drops are for yet

A Collector's Brittle Iksar Skull dropped from first Skelly I hit in FoB.
A Collector's Excavator Claws dropped from 1st Excavator in Kurn's.
So I think 6th hunt is back.
