Saved my ***!! I just attempted the efreeti for SolRo access and almost got my monkey *** kicked!!! OOM, 2 adds on me and the efreeti at 2%... .... .. Ya, I'm no good at stories. Infusion saved my ***.

Well I have to agree with Variat .... it took 20 minutes to convince myself that the 300 plat I paid my Sacrifice victim to create the EE to be consumed, would indeed be well worth the casting of this spell.
Anyways at lvl 55 with nearly 5k mana pool I sucked it up and casted the spell Infusion. Pooof my 300 plat EE gone and I gained 14% mana. DOH !!! I could have clicked Lich ..sat down scratched my a$$ and stood up and gained 14% mana.
Well, thats my 2coppers ... be safe all.

We had a wipe, and was able to return quickly back to camp, but since most of us were OOM, this really helped and we were back in business.

As far as saving my ***** Well, the only time this would come in handy for me personally, is if I had to solo a mob for a quest, and really needed it to die, but ran short on mana. For the average xp mob? I'll die and get a rezz for 100 to 200 pp, before I'll spend 400 pp to kill the mob then sit oom and oohealth for 20 min anyway.

Just my opinion, I wont be looking to accuire this spell.

the thought of being able to instantly regen mana is kewl, but i think they should do one of 2 things with this spell so it would be more usefull. Either remove the regeant and leave its super long cooldown, or leave the regeant and remove the super long cooldown. With both this spell doesnt seem worth getting to me, and i havent bothered to get it even when it was cheap. EEs cost alot, and I'd rather not blow one with super long refresh cooldown just so I can get some of my mana back a little faster. as for saving myself, I'll take my chances with Comatose, and use the essence to rez myself if it fails, or find a cleric and save it. This spell reminds me of the lifetap that wants an EE as a regeant just to lifetap 400more hp then free one, no thanks.

I think this spell like many others has it's use. For example, you are playing at a time nobody in your friend list or guild are online, you die soloing something or any kind of similar situations. You would think about rez'ing yourself with the EE, instead you have the chance to use this spell which will save the corpse run, it just need to be used at the right moment for the right purpose, I'm not rich but having my necro and cleric, I know this could be a raid saver as I am usually main healer, my necro is my dump and 1000 mana can make the difference to get a CH out.

this spells is really a save yer **** spell for when you need more mana to finnish somthing off or die. Maybe even to use, then subvert your mana to the cleric, to save a group that way. So intended for use once in a while. Under that catagory Ide be happy to have the option.

Ok, as 99.999% of my necro brethren agree, this spell (and Trepidation but I'm not going there...)
are BROKEN. Useless by and large and never used.

BUT!

I finally found a reason to actually use this; Plane of Justice Trials. My last trial group wasn't uber, but we were no pushovers either. Took us several tries; I used INFUSION the last time along with mod-rod and ArchLich and ripped at least 2 low-resist DoTs (VexMord and Pyro) and a DD Tap into every mob, every fight. And we won!

This spell is absoultly worthless, i just recently Saced my 65 wiz and i have 246 EE's, so i thought well whats an EE here and an EE there for 1k mana, well heh only after infusing myself 4 times and realizeing that 4k for 1.2kpp isn't worth it, i mean hell i hate using them for rezzes, and i have 240+ of them!!! they are needed for the Vex thal key, and raids on my server like reso, or FnF buy them buy them by the stack for their applicants, for the VT is required, also they buy them so as to not overwhelm the clerics if they are unable to rez during a raid encounter because they are healing. this is all beside the fact, at 49 the necro lich spell is aswome it is better mana regen then KEI, and BoD heals for about 80 pts per tick, which is more than enough to cover the dmg done due to lich, infact it heals you, so you can get 1k mana in a few mins, and if you sit on a mount then you can recover it even faster. so all in all THIS SPELL SUCKS. don't get it.

This spell is the most worthless spell a necro gets. First problem is the recast time. Next is the fact that this spell takes an essence emerald. And as we all know you can only get the emeralds from sacifice spell. So you have to find a 45 plus player willing to loose their xp so you can get back 1000 mana. WTF would you want this spell for. If you loot it do not mem the damn thing and for the love of Innoruuk do not buy it.

A lot of people get to...say...60 and arent in a raiding guild. They get tired of LFG all the time and decide to start a caster alt so they can solo. Hmmmm..how can I twink him out? ***** myself for essence emeralds! I know someone who had a 58 rogue and just got a new computer. He got a friendly necro to get him some essence emeralds. Now he has a 50 rogue and a 38 necro with somewhere north of 50 EEs.

Can anyone explain this line of spells with a little more detail? If I cast this on myself twice, does my mana pool increase by 2000? If so, how many times can I cast this on myself and get the same effect? How long does it last? Does it leave when you zone or does it run out after a set amount of time? Thanks for any info you may have.

It restores 1000 mana to your current mana pool. It only cost 1 mana to cast, so it's kinda like the Wizard Harvest spells.

The duration is instant, there is no time limit, it restores 1000 mana. You can cast it on yourself mana times, but you'll have to wait since the recast time is extremely long.

I'm guessing if you get in trouble and your oom, this is the perfect spell to cast to save your rear.
