Does anyone know if the small handful of spells that use EE's as a reagent can be saved with any Reagent Conservation focus effects? Just kinda curious.
Whats Time Limit?
# Apr 29 2003 at 12:27 AM Rating: Decent
Very surprised when I got the message "This player cannot be resurrected. The corpse is too old." It has only be a few hours since the person died and I can not use convergence! Does anyone know the time limit?

3 hours for over level 10.

30 minutes for under level 10, or a corpse produced by duelling. Also empty corpses. Note that empty corpses and under lvl 10 corpses poof completely in this time.

Time limit on empty corpse depends on how the corpse came to be empty. =)

I was looting my corpse once and just as I left-clicked the last item, I realized that the corpse was going to poof once I left the loot screen (and I was going to get a rez). So, with item in hand, I /q'd out.

When I came back, that last item was still on my cursor, and my corpse was still there too.

I checked the expire time on my corpse, and it had changed to match the ressurection time (2 hours and change left instead of 6 days and change).

I dunno if this would have worked if I had right-clicked the item off of my corpse, but I'm sure it would have. I haven't been brave enough to try it again tho.

there is however another trick many people don't know about. If you loot the last item and realize you still haven't got your rez yet...hold on the loot screen for about 1 minute (may not be exact but close) it will kick you off the corpse with all items and leave the corpse for the rest of the rez time limit. just if you had died naked on a corpse run..won't poof till you try and loot and close the dialog box. =)

Had something very similar happen to me, however, I had right clicked my last item off, however, even at that point one's corpse is still there, so I simply refused to click "Done" on the loot window, with the intent of waiting for the cleric in group to get to me. However, after about 5 minutes, the loot window automatically disappeared, though it left my corpse, and the decay time was exact same as rez timer.

Essence gem is actually an essence emerald, you get it by casting the lvl 51 spell sacrifice on a player lvl 45+, you have to be grouped with him, and he has to click "ok" on the dialog box. I guess it's to prevent necros from casting this on just everyone everywhere :D
Note that once you click "ok", it's an insta death that costs roughly same xp as a fall, you cannot be resurrected by anyone (cleric, pally nor necro)

The spell is not self only, it just requires an Essence Gem. You get an essence gem by killing another PC with the "sacrafice" spell.. It's a trade off. =)

I am sure he meant the spell and not the essence emeralds - especially since at 2003 xp wasn't that easy to come by. ee's won't sell at all to merchants nowadays (thank god).
