usually it isnt a matter of lvl of the skill when get the message :

"You're too inexperienced in your craft to even consider attempting this combination."

If recipe is quest related, there is good chance your not far enough along on quest to be able to do combine ..

cause can attempt pretty much any combine at any lvl ...... as long as you don't mind doing combines the old-fashioned way ( placing each time in the container separately and repeatedly till you succeed.)

above is just an FYI, in case someone else needs/wants to try this.

You are incorrect. There is a minimum level to attempt this which has nothing to do with a quest. It has to do more likely with people skilling up easier than was intended... as the items for this are pretty easy to come by.

There was a change. I skilled up with this combine from 211 to 212 without a %mod item. Just for extra info dont do the EVBs. I dont know if it was just me or what but i combined 127 of them and only got 3 points

Well, i just tried it with a BS skill of 178 and it says "You're too inexperienced in your craft to even consider attempting this combination." So apparently there's still some kind of limit on it, regardless of what DK Janik experienced.

Xaanru is talking of following items:

15% Mod:
- Hammer of the Ironfrost dropt from Xerkizh the Creator in Ssraeshza Temple.
- Gauntlets of Dark Embers dropt from Kaas Thox Xi Ans Dyek in Vex Thal.

10% Mod:
- Massive Girdle of the Forge dropt from Praesertum Bikun in Sanctus Seru.

you can't. need to have a 220 skill to make, and it trivials at 212.

You need a 220 MODIFIED skill to make. It is an amazingly easy way to skill up, for those lucky enough to get one of the 10% or 15% smithing devices. However, for the rest of us, these can be used to skill up from 210-212, with a geerlok.

I highly recommend taking the two easy points. They were the easiest post 200 skillups I had, as the combine for the rings is a two item combine, and I got both relatively cheap in the bazaar.
