 | The Iksar starts off in Cabilis in the continent of Kunark. Iksar are killed on sight by every other race in Norrath. What is the best strategy for playing a Iksar? Hi im a lvl 9 iksar SK abd i want to start blacksmithing. but when i look for guides they all say "go to freeport" so i was windering if someone could help me with how to blacksmith in kunark.

Well i was a lowely lvl 14 when i decided to venture out into the world. I decided that the best place to go to get faction would GF (Greater Faydark) as you can kill lots of orcs in cb get and lots of exp! I found out that you have to kill 500 orcs to get one faction gain. So my warrior (called Togepi on terris - thule server) went to work on all pawns that i saw! (they are great as you can kill them in seconds and they give exactly the same faction as all the rest of the orcs in CB. I was giving belts out left right and centre as they where just weighing me down. Until i got to dubious with the dwarves. Then i keep all i could and made a CB belt run with about 60 belts! (i could barely move) For soom reason your faction with the dwarves doesn't start off as KOS so its a lot easier to gain faction with them! So i went in (avoiding the damn mail guy as he is still kos to me :( silly high elves) and made my way to the warriors guild and handed all the belts in! This gave me 2! faction boosts and i could practice my skills at the warriors guild! (which was good as i was lvl 17 by the time i did this) After a couple of runs i managed to get my faction up to allied :) ! What a wonderous day that was. So i continued to kill orcs in cb upto lvl 18 and then returned home! This however was not because i wanted to, but more forced too! And now the point of this post! WHY ON EARTH DOES THE BANKERS HAVE A FACTION OF THERE OWN! There is only one quest that i know of that increases banker faction and thats in halas! Do i really have to gain all that faction again in halas and qeynos so i can use a bank outside of Cabilis! I would like anyone to tell one of two things!
1: Does anyone know of other quests or monsters that increase your banker faction!
2: How on earth do you get your faction up with high elves. After 4 solid days of killing orcs in cb the high elves still hate my guts :(

You will need a wolf form to do the faction -raising quests with the high elves or release a LOT of high elf slaves (assuming you can get near them without being attacked). Those scrolls that drop from oracles in CB are turned in to the paladin guild leader, but you'll need to have a druid on hand for quite a while - the stupid scrolls are lore so its get scroll-run to Felewithe and get past guards-get wolf form-turn in scroll-repeat until dubious.
Easier bank in Qeynos to use with a bit of work (not sure if Iksar are KOS in the catacombs) might be the main one - just pop every gnoll and bandit you can and you'll be able to walk inside soon. Easiest ones to get into are probably the banks in Paineel and Grobb - both are Cazic-thule worshipping areas so our faith in the Faceless is a bonus instead of a hinderance (and the later has a warrior guild for training too). As a side: note the banker in Paineel seems to be on Heretic Faction and the one in Qeynos on Qeynos Merchant faction - both are amiable (seperate non-native characters)and never did the banker quest. Just killed mountains of kolbolds for the former and gnolls & bandits for the later. Also, you might as well forget about Halas unless you have a LOT of gnoll fangs and polar bear skins plus a wolf form on both sides of the zone - there is nothing I've been able to find and kill that gives faction with any of the Halas groups, and those guards are fast, hit hard, and are too dang alert - tried conning Bandl when I could just see the top of his head over the ridge and a very good distance out. Next thing I know he's in my face trying to make fresh-cut lizard steaks and doing a dang good job of it.

There is a bank you can use outside of cabalis already, in the catacombs of qeynos. www.eqatlas.com has a map that will show you where the banker is.

Can anyone tell me how many points of armour an Iksar is granted per level? Is it a fixed amount for every level, or does it rise more at higher levels. I just hit L20 and it looks like I'm getting close to 300AC for free. (Or for 20% of my exp. Depends how you look at it. *Grin*)

its 5 or 10 ac every OTHER lvl i think so you will have 150 to 300 more ac then any other race, but dont worry at high lvls we get awsome ac armor like the iksar sk get blood lords armor check that stuff out HUGE ac, best sk armor in the game, makes blood ember look like crap.

iksar's don't get hide and sneak right? then how are they supposed to not be seen by other races? i read in the hintbook to use normal avoidance techniques (don't ask me where i saw that in the book). what are these techniques?! and how am i supposed to survive as an iksar when the frogloks kill me right when i spawn in?!

try pulling the frogss to guards (this must be your first character). o any iksar monk get sneak, and iksar sk get HIDE. so try gaining lvls, it always helps. o and the FROGS ARE LIKE LVL 3(come on).

If you're talking about the froglok slaves in East Cabilis, it won't help to pull the frogs to the guards, the guards won't kill them; the only way to escape is to zone or have another player help you kill them. They'll quit attacking you once you get high enough level, though (I still kill them every time I see them, though, as revenge!).

I like being an Iksar, the race bonuses are good, but the kos everywhere thing just plain sucks, might no be so bad if I didn't HATE Kunark.
1) Where to fight at what lvl please gimme a description for lvls 5-20 so I'll know what to kill until I'm good enough to go to faydwer and werk my faction really easy.
2) Is there any city on Kunark other than cabilis I'll be welcome on?
3) Iksar's have no race allies, but since I'm Cathic Zule would I be able to go to the Cathic zone w/o being kos?

well i dont know about the crappy servers but on vallon zek iksar are allied with other darkies(still kos though). but if you get lvl 46 iksar sk, WHO FOLLOW CAZIC-THULE, are amiably to him. and thats the best friend a person can have. a lvl 64 GOD, who is not really that ez. well anyway. go into FoB till lvl 12. then spend time either with group killing bandits in fob near the water, and turning in snout rings(MM snout rings only work), or solo at kurns tower near zone. that wil get you to 20. then go to WW and kill giants till 28, then go to dalnir till 30 then go to OT, by sf ramp an kill till 31-36, then go to GUK, need invis only sk and necros can uz this, lvl till 46 there, then you should be smart enough to igure the rest out by the time you hit 46.
1) You could probably make it to 20 without ever leaving the lake of ill omen if you play your cards right.
2) Aside from killing kunark dragons, the only way to raise OT outpost faction (venrilsather) is the berserker braid quest, which requires that you not be KOS in the 1st place. So, no outpost, and you can forget about FV.
3) You'll be KoS in the plane of fear, but Cazic-Thule himself will not aggro on you. Being your creator, he will /con warm (may be ally now).

it's dreadscale bro, and its drak green, every quest is ez, the hardest is the arms, and helm. helm is not worth it. o and dont get the bracers, they suck also. get bp befroe you leave fob. thats all i can really say.

If you are not an iskar on vallon zek. I repeat you are not a true iskar. To be a true iskar you have to face pkers, plus the towns people. Iskar could get anywhere. Just like I did with my iskar shadow knight. Of course he was only lvl 9. so what? Docked the boat from Overtheir. travel. Jump of a boat, unto an island. Ogres due kill sometimes. Ogre partrol people ( Not PC's) Then get to Oasis yah! from their on run as fast as you can through a tunnel into the commonlands. YAh you made it this far. Run opposite from West freeport unto Kithcor. Wait till night if you are a (pansie) in kith. Or climb up the wall and travel from their. But watch out for the undead. Once you see a whole. Do not go into that whole. That place is for the hafies. Walk past it. Then once you follow the wall for 1 minute with sow ).
2 minutes and 45 seconds without sow. maybe more.
Then you will see an entrance. That entrance is to HHP. Other known as (High Hold Pass). Once your their. DOn't go farther. press /ooc and ask someone for invis. Youll be a lucky basterd if they do invis you. (PVP) on vallon. Then just run straight take a few turn. go up the bridge, take a left. Run up , down, then around right turn. Then just keep running till you see another narrow path. Walk into it. You zone. Then just run your **** from the (Karanas) on the right side of the cliff. Repeat right side. The left side well end you up on paved cement once you hit the ground from a 1000 foot cliff. Then you see a Bandit guard post. keep running. Then youll have to trun on the left side of the cliff. Know don't go to the left side. ( remember cement). Keep on running. Once you get to a road the signs will tell you where to go. Here is a simpler way listen. Follow this road, watch out for everything. then just make your first right. Keep on running down that road until you see a wooden bridge. cross the bridge and youll zone. Youll end up in some place. But just follow the river. On the right. Keep following until you zone. Then keep following the river until you reach a circus type place. Follow the rest of the road, and look at the signs, and youll end up in qeynos hills. Hell yeah pking time ). OK know get a bind in the city somwhere. ( I repeat not in the city zone by the city and get a bind from a kind individual). Then Take out your wurmslayer or your rusty weapon, and start choppin away. how fun. You could do many of things. know you could end up like me. with 6 characters, 24 halfing kinda twinked. AN iskar shadow knight lvl 8 turning nine and recieving black iron armer. How awsome. From my Halfling that is in runneye right know. And other bunch of characters. Lvl 7 to 24.

no, the Var Shir (Kerrans) is gonna be a dark race because they hate erudites (black people).
No one likes worms, do dream on. No allies.
Cats may look bad at the erudites, but should look quite OK, at least indiff to any other non-evil race. Evil race will be KoS. Go to the cat islands as they are now and find out. Maybe the evil races are not KoS though.. Beats me, need to check, but as it was stated, cats will most probably be on a "good" side, and not on the evil or worm side.

Verant has stated that the Var Shir will be welcome in all but evil cities. They are opposed only to the paineel erudites, not the erudin ones.

Probably not, the kerrans were blown to the moon by the Erudites in paineel the evil (and cool) ones, so they could go either way, but verant can still throw us Iskar a friggin boen and give us one ally

What quests can I do as an Iksar Monk to get some xp? I am looking to get lots of xp for my monk, and am not sure which quests are possible to do as an iksar(kos). Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm an Iksar monk and (a) I'd like to know if there are any freeport militia faction boost mobs, and or fast quests out there.
(b) I'd also like to know a safe way to get back to Kunark from the main lands.

Alright. Heres how I got out of being KOS to 90% of Qeynos. Kill gnolls.. Lots of them. I mean LOTS! Get to being dubious to the guards.
I killed around 500 gnolls and turned in 130 Gnoll fangs and got to Indifferent. :) The only people KOS to me are the Corrupt guards, the Warrior Guild and the Bards. So how did I turn in those gnoll fangs? Have a druid friend. Invis her. Get to the corner next to the captain and far as possible away from the warrior. And have her cast Tranquility. Lowers the agro distance. And turn in all those gnoll fangs. Then turn in all those moonstones. Raises your faction with the citizens.
Hope that helps. Wolf form makes it easier :) But that's the difference between needing a 14th level Druid and needing a 34th level druid.

I know wolf form wont work but is there a good way to do this? I was thinking about either taking a Bard in there with invis song playing and then sneaking behind the guard to turn in ears. I have over 200 so I am hoping that by the time I have turned them all in I should be able to just walk out. Can anyone tell me if this would work?

Iksar are a great race, I've had about 3 of em, and they all rule. I had a Warrior a Nec and a Monk. They all where fun, and they were all fun to roleplay. The only problem is that they are SO hated everywhere. They should put like a lone little town somewhere in inothule of somewhere.

Kill about 200 orcs. Thats will make the citizens and merchants like you. Then turn in 45 DF belts while in wolf form to Captain Hazran on the militia house balcony that will get you dubiouse to the west freeport militia. and thats not KOS.

Yes, the Vah Shir are a light race but the ones on Erud's Crossing are NOT KOS to Iksar. So that may be a little haven for Iksar. Actually, Erudite (good ones) aren't KOS from to them either. Also I have heard that Avaiks won't kill Iksar on sight, but that's just a rumor.

I'm an iksar monk of the 10th season of training...I play on Vallon Zek and I was wondering if anyone knows how to gain faction with Neriak, Oggok, and Grobb so I may fight alongside my dark allies. Replies appreciated.

I'm a lvl 16 warrior KUNARK is the best for lvling and the regan for iksars is the best!!!!!!! IKSARS ARE THE BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
