What faction level do you need to complete this quest? Ally?
Warmly faction appears to be good enough for this quest.

Clarification please from those who have completed this - the info here says you need a 'glowing drake orb' (which is used in a different HoT quest) however elsewhere this item is listed as needing a 'glowing orb'.

the tear is droped off of dozer he is a very mean dragon not to far into the halls. it takes around 30 ppl from the guild i am in to kill him of which 25 of them are lvl 60. Dozer drops 4 tears every time u kill him and the symbols and orbs come off of the named further in the halls. the named are easy all lvl 60 dragons. the hard part about this is waiting for the mobs to be up they are on a 7 day spawn or something like that so getting the force there when they up is the hard part. then trying to get to telk is another obsticle since he does have good drops trying to find him up ( on a 7 day spawn also ) is tuff. not many guilds will leave him up for u to finish this quest. well good luck to all those after this item is nice. i finally got mine and we where lucky enough that another warrior in the guild got the bracer of speed the same night.

Dozekar does not drop 4 tears everytime. The amount of Tears he can drop is random. No less then two no more then six.

I just fault Doz w/ my guild on Mith marr and recieved the White Tear for the Quest, killed a drake and Glowing Orb dropped, we also got a white Symbol from another drake and Silver Symbol in Guildbank -- Gonna get my Dagger tomorrow -- easy Quest just killing Doz is a *****, was our first time at him and we took him with 2 deaths :)

Or you could kill Telk, he dropped a nice melee bp couple nights ago for us. Also a hat and a nice necklace. Bp was like 57AC and nice stats. One of our pallies won it.

They are neither deep in the halls, or "hard" to obtain with a decent scale raid.
Dozekar:65 Dragon, Meele Dmg:350-400, AE:400 Lure (wont resist it ever boys) dispell 1 buff.

I've been getting alot of conflicting info on this weap. Is the haste indead right-click or is it a permanent effect? Would like a confirmation on this.

I was wondering. If the weapon is equip in the range slot, will the haste effect for Serrated Dragon Tooth increase speed for other melee weapon once it is equipped? Meaning, if the monk is not using dragon tooth as a range weapon, will the effect add to melee combat.
It works in range, primary Secondary anything. as long as it's somewhere equipped you get the effect. (ie in range slot you STILL get the haste with your standard primary and secondary melees)
an fbss isn't being used as a weapon, but still enhances weapon attack speed - same with the serrated dragon tooth.

dozekar the cursed ain't deep in halls of testing and he's the only *hard* mob in there... the named that drop the symbols and the orb are doable by 3 groups, dozekar takes a full scale raid. the rare part are the named who enjoy dropping orbs 50% of the time and symbols the other 50%...

Actually the haste on the ragebringer is permanent, not triggered... do your research

This a VERY HARD quest but WELL WORTH IT so i suggest that anyone high enough and able to use should try for it i got one even though clickable haste it doesn't matter still rocks!

Sounds simple enough, but these items are all in the ToV halls of testing, and apparently "deep" within the halls of testing. These are probably some very rare drops there and getting this dagger is probably a full weekend for at least 2 or 3 groups of people from an uber guild. I'm speculating, of course - I had originally posted with intent to ask how long this quest may take. Seems I've answered my own question.
The best range slot item in the game for melee? I'd say so - and I want one (and will have one)for my wee bardie.
