105 SMolo Magician, self-buffed
I had tried this solo at 100 and given up as it seemed too much of a slog but once you get stuck in at 105 it's not bad.
First off, even if the mobs refuse to "convert", killing them clocks up your score if they have insulted you, so basically this is a kill task.
Although everything is KoS, agro ranges aren't too big so you shouldn't get swarmed by adds. Nothing much sees through invis.
For mid to high 90s, these mobs don't hit too hard either.
Previous posts assume a lot of "common" knowledge that has faded into myth. To reach the top floor library, hunt out round platforms that act as lifts. Lather, rinse and repeat.

This shared task (1-6 players) begins with Selulian of Melretia in the Pillars of Alra, located outside the northeastern pillar (360, -620, 450). Pre-requisites for requesting the task: - Completion of "The First Pilgrimage" - 81 Skill Level in Alaran You say, 'Hail, Selulian of Melretia' Selulian of Melretia says, in Alaran, 'Welcome disciple _____, come to bask in the purity of Alra's true worshipers? Perhaps you are [interested in learning more] about our orde ?'' You say, 'I'm interested in learning more' Selulian of Melretia smiles, 'Your faith is strong. Rather than bore you with lecture, I shall see to it your lessons involve meaningful action!' It searches its robes for a tattered scroll and holds it out in pront of you, 'As I said before, the ancient stone you recovered details much of our oldest recorded history. What it did not contain was the story yf our exodus and arrival upon this planet. I shall ask that you [take this scroll] to the wayward people of Anriella's order.' You say, 'I'll take this scroll' Selulian of Melretia says, in Alaran, 'Very good, spreading the good word of our pur ty may not be an easy task, so I suggest you dy not go alone. After you have broug t clarity to the hearts and minds of these wayward souls, return to me with one of their heretical texts and I shall tell you more of the uncorrupted history of ml people.' You receive a "Words of Melretia". You have been assigned the task 'The Word of Melretia'. Selulian has asked you to spread the good word of Melretia. Travel to the Pillar of Nature and seek out the lower caste of workers. Individuals in the basement, foyer, and meditative halls may listen to what you have to say. Spread the word of the arcane to some of the lower caste 0/15 (Pillars of Alra) Head to the southwest pillar and right-click the Words on NPCs in the lower floors. Some of them will aggro on you, so be ready for a fight and sometimes several adds. A positive response (non-aggro): an amalgamation of earth looks at you curiously and nods. They appear receptive to your message. A negative response (instant aggro and social aggro with any mobs around it): a natureward initiate says, in Alaran, 'Your heresy has no place here. Prepare to feed the earth!' Travel to the upper library in the Pillar of Nature 0/1 (Pillars of Alra) Task Window Says: Now that you have 'converted' some of the corrupted, travel to the upper library and find a tome detailing Anriella's apocryphal version of Alra's wishes. Obtain a Tome of Natural Knowledge 0/1 (Pillars of Alra) Task Window Says: You may need to 'convince' the librarians to part with their tome via force. This is a random drop in the library. Return the Tome of Natural Knowledge to Selulian 0/1 (Pillars of Alra) Task Window Says: Now that you have obtained the tome of heretical lies, return it to Selulian so that it can share more of its people's true history with you. Selulian of Melretia nods and pulls out a small piece of parchment and speaks, 'Of the Exodus, V of XI... The sects you see now are not the ones of ancient times mind you. The lines of division in those ancient days were physical and less spiritual. My elders were however, the chosen few...' Your faction standing with Arcanists of Alra got better. Ive been doing this one and the nature one like forever, and now suddenly Ive lost too much faction to continue. Who do I talk to to fix faction here?
So i've done this task probably 15 times or so now. Two of the times I have done this task the Tome of Natural Knowledge did not update the task when i looted it. This just lead to me missing out on the 30 min optional update since it was the only tome that dropped that whole clear. 2nd clear of the area only dropped one tome and it did not update the task again. Got one off of the first mob on the 3rd clear. This time i looted the tome with right click instead of left click and it updated. Maybe that is the reason idk but if it is the that is extremely stupid and bugged.

Had no trouble getting the mobs down to lower floor, as a 95 Rog I was able to wait till mob got close and escape to evade adds, only had to kill mobs that didnt like the scroll thingie
I can confirm, FD and COH does not matter. i did both multi times and after arrgo cleared 3 secs latter is just came back, even after coh ect. so be rdy to fight with adds.
I hadn't done the first partisan task yet, but as designated looter I looted the Tome. The NPC wouldn't accept it from me! Tried invis while the trade window was open, tried sneak, tried hailing first (which got me a message related to the first task, which I had started), but could not get him to accept the turn-in.
Ended up going back to try to get second tome for task leader to loot, but killed a couple dozen mobs on library level and never got another tome to drop. (I deleted mine about halfway through those kills, but that didn't help.) We abandoned the task.
For the earlier step, we ended up thinning each group of mobs using normal pulls, and then clicking on just singles. But yeah, Feign Death doesn't work; not even Imitate Death works. Nasty!
Ended up going back to try to get second tome for task leader to loot, but killed a couple dozen mobs on library level and never got another tome to drop. (I deleted mine about halfway through those kills, but that didn't help.) We abandoned the task.

Trying to do this without killing anything using a Bard to click and fade. It, however, does not work as the mobs continually reaggro after fading.

feign death doesn't lose aggro either, you are mysteriously changed from FD to fallen to the ground and they pound you.
Simply having this quest requested will change your faction to threatening to most mobs in the Nature pillar.
