This task begins when you loot a Silverwing Belt from the Temple of Droga.
--You have looted a Silverwing Belt.-- You have been assigned the task 'Lost Heirlooms (Level 55)'. 1. Speak to Aiden Silverwing about the belt you found. (0/1) - Plane of Knowledge Aiden Silverwing is located outside the Guild Lobby. If you do not yet have a Silverwing Lockbox in your inventory, you will receive it upon hailing him. You say, 'Hail, Aiden Silverwing' Aiden Silverwing says 'You've found Burrien's Belt! Burrien was always looking for the next treasure, the next prize. I heard rumors he was planning an expedition to uncover the lost treasures in the Mines of Droga, but that seemed rather far-fetched. To this day nobody has found much of value in its depths. Though he had discovered much in his travels, he never seemed to keep any of it for himself.' 2. Find a shard of power to infuse with Aiden's heirloom. (0/1) - Nobles' Causeway Loot a Scintillating Shard found all around Nobles' Causeway. 3. Put the belt and shard into the lockbox and combine them. (0/1) In the Silverwing Lockbox, combine the Silverwing Belt and the Scintilating Shard. I looted this belt at lvl 54 and tried talking to Aiden Silverwing, but I couldnt get the task. Someone mentioned they right clicked the belt and task appeared. So placing it in an empty inventory slot, I did just that and task was updated. Hope this helps anyone else.
I looted the belt from Droga, then right-clicked it to start the task. However, it was late and I didn't hail the guy in Crescent Reach right away. I ended up in Noble's Causeway the next night where I eventually looted a Scintillating Shard, then at the end of that night I went back to CR to hail the guy. He gave me the box and a task update, but I didn't get the next update for already having the shard from NC. I was able to do the combine and get the finished belt.
Since I would've had to start the quest over again by going back to Droga for another belt, I didn't bother for now. Still, I think it was like 20% AAXP (give or take) for my 65 ranger when he got his, so it's worth doing.
Edit: I uploaded the caster reward (Scintillating Sash of the Silverwing) to Lucy.

If you loot shard before you get item and box from NPC quest giver, try dropping shard on ground and picking it up; worked for me. I would drop it away from any NPC's though because there are a few in game that pickup anything dropped around them unless they were changed.

Thanks for this.
Just tryed it for myself and worked.I dropped it on ground in Nobles Causeway and after looking hard to see it on the ground (was really hard to see for some reason) picked it up and got the update.

keep in mind when you do these silverwing quests, the rewards are 5 lvl higher req than the starter item, currently my mage runs around with no belt :(

When i looted this i didnt receive a quest but later, in a fluke i right clicked the belt (as if clicking a clicky item) and got the quest
I think the shard in NC is a scintillating shard. Got one to drop yesterday whilst hoping for the aug. I'm reasonably sure that was the name.
