You say, 'Hail, Yitimis Groglenog' Yitimis Groglenog says 'Hail. Brell's blessing on you. Are you, perchance, a brewer or interested in learning the craft? I have a lot of [work] to do here, and I could use some help.' You say, 'What work?' Yitimis Groglenog says 'We're very busy just trying to keep up with demand. With all of the new discoveries on Taelosia, we have a lot of visitors, but I'd really like to have some time to look at the native plants. I've been given some samples of the [tea] that grows locally and it has some very unusual properties. I just have not had enough time to investigate. Perhaps you could [lend a hand] with my daily tasks so that I can free up some time to look into this?' You say, 'What tea?' Yitimis Groglenog says 'It's aromatic and that's the least of its properties. I have a few dozen interesting ideas I want to try. Unfortunately, the tea requires special preparation before it can be used. I've worked out how to do that and I'd be very pleased if you could bring me some of those Taelosian Tea Leaves. I'll prepare them for you and only keep a small amount for myself. That way we can both try it!' You say, 'I will lend a hand.' Yitimis Groglenog says 'Excellent. The mornings are probably the busiest around here. And a Wayfarer's favorite pick-me-up in the morning is called Spicy Sunrise. Just take the Orange Juice and the Wayfarer Spice and combine it in a brew barrel. It will make a tasty drink! Please bring them to me as soon as you can. If you help me out enough, I may be willing to share the secret of preparing Taelosian Teas with you!' You receive 20 x Orange Juice and 20 x Wayfarer Spice. You also receive a book entitled "Making Sauces." Head to the Brew Barrel (south of Yitimis in the same room, -220, +175, +115) and do the combines. Combine 1 of each ingredient in the brew barrel. You have learned the recipe Spicy Sunrise! Spicy Sunrise trivials at 31. After doing each set of 20 combines, hand them back to Yitimis. After handing them all in, say "I will lend a hand" again and she will give you more Spicy Sunrise components until she feels you've made enough (approximately 100). You say, 'I will lend a hand.' Yitimis Groglenog says 'Well hello! I can certainly use your help. We need to brew up some coffee. I think we'll make Vanilla Coffee today. Just take the Coffee Beans, the Vanilla Beans and the Flask of Purified Sea Water and combine them in a brew barrel. Please rush back and give me the coffee, we'd like to serve it hot.' You receive 20 x Coffee Beans, 20 x Vanilla Beans and 20 x Flask of Purified Sea Water. As before, combine 1 of each in a brew barrel. You have learned the recipe Vanilla Coffee! Vanilla Coffee trivials at 38. After doing each set of 20 combines, hand them back to Yitimis unstacked, up to four at a time. After handing them all in, say "I will lend a hand" again and she will give you more Vanilla Coffee components until she feels you've made enough (approximately 100). You say, 'I will lend a hand.' Yitimis Groglenog says 'Hi! I'm glad you can help. One of the things we have trouble with around here is folks that stay on duty for hour after hour and getting bored. They tend to fall asleep. Well, Galidnus designed a tasty beverage that helps folks stay awake. Though he didn't come up with a very good name for it. He calls it Galidnus' Glad Juice. To make it, just put Orange Juice, Coffee Beans, and Redberry into a brew barrel and combine. Bring them back to me when you've got them ready. Thank you!' You receive 20 x Orange Juice, 20 x Coffee Beans, and 20 x Redberry. Back to the barrel. You have learned the recipe Galidnus' Glad Juice! Galidnus' Glad Juice trivials at 46. After doing each set of 20 combines, hand them back to Yitimis unstacked, up to four at a time. After handing them all in, say "I will lend a hand" again and she will give you more Galidnus' Glad Juice components until she feels you've made enough (approximately 100). You say, 'I will lend a hand.' Yitimis Groglenog says 'You sure are helpful! This one is pretty simple, though the ingredients can be expensive enough, I suppose. We need a good stock of Wayfarer Spiced Wine. Just put the Simple Wine and the Wayfarer Spice in a brew barrel and combine them. Bring me the wine and I'll get them into the store room. Thank you for helping me out.' You receive 20 x Simple Wine and 20 x Wayfarer Spice. You know what to do. You have learned the recipe Wayfarer Spiced Wine! Wayfarer Spiced Wine trivials at 54. After doing each set of 20 combines, hand them back to Yitimis unstacked, up to four at a time. After handing them all in, say "I will lend a hand" again and she will give you more Wayfarer Spiced Wine components until she feels you've made enough (approx. 100). When you've turned in enough of those, finally... You say, 'I will lend a hand.' Yitimis Groglenog says 'You've been just a peach helping out! I don't think I need your help any more, you've already done so much. Let me give you the secret I promised and you go out and enjoy the rest of the day.' Yitimis pulls out several ragged-looking pieces of parchment, most with wine stains that make them almost unreadable. She holds one up for you to look at. It only takes you a minute to grasp what needs to be done to prepare the Taelosian Tea Leaves and the Taelosian Mountain Tea Leaves. In fact, you are certain that if you work at it long enough, you can produce more usable tea with practice.' This gives you the ability to process Taelosian Tea Leaves and Taelosian Mountain Tea Leaves into Taelosian Tea and Taelosian Mountain Tea respectively. These two types of tea are used in many GoD brewing recipes. If your skill is already high enough : Yitimis Groglenog says 'You've been just a peach helping out! I don't think I need your help any more, you've already done so much. If you have forgotten or want them for posterity, I can give you the [recipes] you used while helping us. Let me give you the secret ... You say, 'Please give me the recipes.' Yitimis Groglenog says 'Here you go.' You have learned the recipe Spicy Sunrise! You have learned the recipe Vanilla Coffee! You have learned the recipe Galidnus' Glad Juice! You have learned the recipe Wayfarer Spiced Wine! You have learned the recipe Traveler's Tea! You have learned the recipe Wayfarer Spiced Tea! Here's a trick: Normally after saying "Lend a hand" the NPC will only hand you 20 combines at a time, but if you open a trade window with the quest items you can "hide them" from your inventory and get another set. Canceling the trade allows you to recombine the stacks and repeat until you have 120 combines allowing you to do them all at once.

You no longer have to give the items back one at a time. You can give them to the NPC in stacks and she takes every single one. GIVE THEM STACKED!

I don't mean to offend anyone but whoever came up with this idea could have put a little more thought into it like maybe a high trivial short cut or something. I am a Grandmaster Brewer and personally think it is a huge waste of my time doing 500 combines that all trivial at lvl 50. I think those of us who are already GMs have earned our stripes and should get the respect we deserve. Not being thrown into the pool with the noobs again.

I agree, you have earned your stripes and should get everything you want handed to you with an ounce of effort. You have worked long and hard and there is no reason why your precious time should be taken up by doing a task that is obvious so far beneath you it seems shameful.
After playing EQ since Kunark came out I raised many characters to over level 50 and most of their skills to master (the level limit at that time). But I quit and havent played in 3 years. Of course my account is no longer available with all the characters from all the servers.
But if I give my 2 cents I think it would be great to give my new characters at least mastered skills. Now wouldnt that be fair instead of wasting my time?

Just put in one Taelosian Tea Leaf in the brew barrel and combine. You'll receive one Taelosian Tea.
Has NE1 figured out what to combine to make the Moutain tea? I've tried experimenting and checking web sites to no avail.

Try it just like the regular tea leaves put one taelosian mountain tea leaf in a brew barrel and it should give you taelosian moutain tea
Give back the products one at a time- unstacked- otherwise it will take FOREVER. I learned the hard way. Give them UNSTACKED!
