After completing the first quest, Hierophant Oxyn sends you on a two part quest. The first part is to get two Cleansers of the Outland skulls and return them to him along with your Iron Cudgel of the Clairvoyant. He says when you have done this he will tell you where to get the next two skulls.

Skull with I is found on a stuffed giant barracuda in Lake of Ill Omen. In Warsliks Woods, a Rogue Shaman Spawns. He drops a Jawless Skull and a note. The note tells you about the barracuda. You need to go to Field of Bones and kill another rogue shaman to get the Mandible. The note also says that you can buy Mendglow Clay in Cabilis, but nobody can find a place that sells it. It can however be foraged in the Burning Woods by a master forager (with much effort). Take your Jawless Skull, Mandible and Mendglow clay and combine them on a potters wheel (make sure you have a decent pottery skill). Do NOT add water. The combination will result in Skull with II.

Turn Skull with I and Skull with II along with your cudgel of the Clairvoyant to Oxyn and get some xp, coin and an Iron Cudgel of the Seer (4/21). When you finish this, Hierophant Oxyn says, 'We are in your debt. You are truly one who shall collect all the lost ancient skulls. Take your weapon. Go to Hierophant Zand and he shall guide you further. Tell him you are [the chosen saviour.]

After completing the previous quest Hierophant Oxyn says the following line:

'Excellent! You have proven yourself worthy to wield the iron cudgel of the clairvoyant. As a clairvoyant, I feel I can trust you, so I will tell you that the issue of the missing skulls is a [much larger problem] than last stated.'

You say, 'Much larger problem?'

Hierophant Oxyn says, 'Many of the ancient skulls have been cast out of our temple. A hierophant was supposed to cast a special spell which was to protect the skulls from dust and decay. He cast some unknown spell which has sent many of our skulls to their original point of death. It would be most helpful if you would [assist in collecting the ancient skulls].'

You say, 'I will assist in collecting the ancient skulls.'

Hierophant Oxyn seems unsure of your prowess. 'Hmmm. First you shall go after the two skulls of the Cleansers of the Outlands. If you find them, bring them back unbroken and then I shall trust you. Hand me both skulls and your iron cudgel of the clairvoyant and I will know you are prepared.'

To obtain the first skull head out to Warsliks Wood and find a rogue shaman located at 2766, -3419. To reach this location quickly go through the Field of Bone entrance. Kill him and he will drop a Jawless Skull and a Tattered Note which reads the following:

"Shaman, I have sent another of your ilk to retrieve the mandible which was taken from us. He will meet up with you at Bone Ruin around midnight. When you have them, find a way to get some Mendglow Clay and a wheel from Cabilis so we can mend this skull. I am enroute to find the Giant Barracuda who swallowed the other skull at the lake."

Now you must find the other rogue shaman who is located in the Field of Bone. He doesn't seem to have a set placeholder, but can be spawned by killing monsters around the area between Kurn's Tower and Kaesora. Once you kill him you will obtain a mandible which you can combine in a pottery wheel along with the Jawless Skull and Mendglow Clay (foraged in Burning Woods) to create Skull with II (Pottery, 51 trivial).

To get the last skull you must find the giant barracuda mentioned in the letter, which is actually a stuffed barracuda located around the center of Lake of Ill Omen. will drop a Skull with I.

After obtaining both skulls, run back to Hierophant Oxyn in East Cabilis and turn in the skulls along with your Iron Cudgel of the Clairvoyant.
Hierophant Oxyn says 'We are in your debt, _______. You are truly the one who shall collect all lost ancient skulls. Take your weapon. Go to Hierophant Zand and he shall guide you further. Tell him you are [the chosen savior].'

The FoB Rogue Shaman spawned for me today at /loc 170.64, 431.42, -56.77

2 other players and I were killing trash in the immediate vicinity, and he eventually spawned after about 30-45m of killing trash at about 3pm Game time.

He dropped the Mandible and Raw Rough Hide.

Good luck.

Rogue SHM in WW spawns up high on a zonewall in the valley where the ruins you hit coming from FOB side. He's wedged between the wall and a tree about twenty feet up, hard to see. Got him within 3-4 spawns of a PH

I found this information entire accurate and highly valuable because you will not see this mob unless you're looking for it. It has a PH but doesn't take long to get him to spawn. I had a ranger with me track the mob because even with the location it was difficult to find. This mob is literally hiding behind a tree... I guess he had to go LOL

I just had a fail on combining the clay and skull parts. My pottery is 32. Got the skull back at least but lost the clay and mandible. I recommend you get pottery higher than the previously recommended 31 before trying this, at least on the Ragefire progression server in the Kunark era.
crude binding powder

I snagged the guy near Kurns, and a "crude binding powder" dropped with the mandible. It's stackable with a white frosting icon. Does anyone know if this can be used instead of mendglow clay? I'm going to try it as soon as I get my jawless skull.
How was this upgraded?

I often wonder just how they figure these quests or others have been updated, there seems to be no information that was not present before it all seems to be as it was. I would like something telling us how it was updated...just a pet pieve of mine.../grin.

Just killed this fish. It did drop the skull. It can easily be "sense animal" at +325 -300. This thing was even to me at level 10. It also was easy for me to kill.

What freaked me out was the fact it SUMMONED me!! Geez. It is close to the top of the water and there are bloodgill gobs all around deeper, so be very careful.

Not much help here, except to pick up every bag you see on the ground.

Picked one up on the shoreline of the lake. Guess what it was.

This quest is done.

Don't take this advice at all, the skull only drops from a stuffed barracuda. The person who found a bag that turned out to be this skull probably just got lucky after some other player killed it, looted the skull, looked it up to see they didn't need it, then dropped it on the ground.
Rogue Shaman in WW

Just got the Jawless Skull in WW. The first ruins that you come to after zoning out of FoB is where I camped for this Rogue Shaman. Just kept killing PHs until he popped. However, he popped with an Iksar Manslayer (red to me). Rooted him. Pulled other two Ikkies and ran to near the zone line. DoT'ed and got the Jawless Skull.

Now I just gotta wait until I get a few more levels under the proverbial belt to whack the Stuffed Barracuda. How this is supposed to be done for a level 10 Shammy is beyond me...especially doing everything solo.

He no longer spawns in the ruins with the lookouts. See a rouge shaman for the new spawn location.

I was wandering between the book and the pit hunting Scaled Wolves and saw a drk blue con Rogue Shaman wandering on the west area outside the Pit. Killed him and he dropped the Mandible.

Note this was in FoB and not Warsliks Woods, so he spawns in FoB as well.

I got him to spawn by killing all the mobs between kurns and the trees. He will spawn at any time of the day or atleast he did for me.

Well as a level 20 shaman I don't like to kill things around my level to respawn rare mobs but as it is now I've failed the skull II combine twice now. What I try to do to get the rogue shaman near kurns is just kill all the iksars that spawn. The marauders, bandits, and manslayers. I tried it at night and it worked or it was a coincidence, either way I got a rogue shaman spawn at 9pm game time. That was my 2nd failed attempt, so now 1 more attempt before I have to go forage more mendglow clay so here's hoping...

I killed the WW rogue shaman after killing bandits in first ruins..right around 1 am game time.

Went to FOB and waited 24 game hours and sure enough, between midnight and 1am the rogue shaman popped. No sign of him on my druid's track at all until then. Doesn't seem to have PH.

That might be way it take about 2 hours to get. Two hours is about 1 norrathian day.

Unlike oh so many quests, all of the pieces for this are droppable. You can get your skull and mandible, forage the clay yourself or let someone else, and give it all to a good potter. They will make a "Skull with II" which is droppable and they will be able to give back to you.

This is trivial sometime at or before 34, as my shaman did the combine successfully with a skill of 34 (yes I knew I was taking a chance, but it was late and I was tired and didn't feel like raising skill further) and got trivial message.

Non Iksar Can do pottery part
# Feb 08 2003 at 2:04 PM Rating: Decent
My experiences where horrific.

I got the jawless skull, the mandible and the clay. I went to the pottery wheel and... failed.

Got a new mandible (the jawless skull is returned on failure). I went to the pottery wheel and... failed.

Got another mandible, think could this be Iksar only type of combine? Fortunately I succeeded on the 3rd attempt.

My pottery skill you ask? 250!

There are tons of broken pillars sticking out of the water and all i've found are dead end entrances to the dome. Will someone please give a loc on this thing because I really don't feel like having every bloodgill goblin in LOIO feasting on my corpse just for this lousy skull.
RE: what the crap?
# Nov 10 2002 at 9:53 AM Rating: Default
Bleh nm, the sense animal thing works. Just swim out over the dome and keep to the top casting it over and over and you'll eventually get it on target. By the way when you goto Burning Woods try hanging out near the giant fort, it seems to be safe from roamers and I made it to the giant fort 2 different times without being attacked by anything without invis. Anyway the point is get there and ask the druids soloing the giants if they can forage the mendglow clay with you and you might be lucky enough to have a treeweave drop and they won't want it. 25ac +10 str rocks.

This quest took me about 2 hours to complete (albeit I'm a 55 Shaman). The first rogue shaman spawns in the first ruins you come to after zoning in from Field of Bone, along with 2 other iksar. He drops a note also, which says that the shaman with the mandible will meet him in Bone Ruin at around midnight.

The second shaman I found walking towards the beach just to the northeast of Kurns tower.

The barracuda was a real piece of cake. Its not a giant stuffed barracuda, its just stuffed barracuda. Spawn time is like 30 seconds and it dropped the skull all 3 times I killed it. It spawns almost right in the middle of the huge, underwater dome. Its also near 2 broken off pillars sticking out of the water.

The mendglow clay was in Burning Woods. I foraged 2 in about an hour. Had a druid forage 2 also that hour at 185 skill. Mine was 50.
RE: Mob info
# Nov 15 2002 at 1:20 AM Rating: Decent
I've been working on the skull quests in fits and starts.

The mob in WW was where everyone said it was.

The FOB mob was a pain in the ***. I found him at 4PM server time down by the newbie ramp.

I had help with the Barracuda. Take friends along, since some of the things in LOIO are big bad and ugly.
RE: Mob info
# Oct 28 2002 at 2:07 PM Rating: Decent
The Second Shammy is indeed found North East of Kurn Tower. The only extra info that will help the Shammy on this quest is that the Rouge Shamman will be killed by the mob's that also spawn and wander in that area. Had him killed twice just before I could get to him : ( I recomend if you can keep that zone clear of NPC's till it spawns in order to kill him before the MOB's do to get your mandeble. He seems to spawn about every 20 to 30 min.
