This time I did it with a Vah Shir rogue. The Frog Monk I used before had to do some faction work since Drenic would not accept the items from him. No issues with the rogue.

Yes Legionnaires is spell wrong. Last year on the Frog double action must have been live.

Getting the Muck Beetle Mandible took longer than the fungal fiend spores.
Easiest way to get these are as follows...
Get a balanced group of 50+, we do it with a 53 chanty, 54 cleric, 54 SK, 53 shammy, 55 monk and a 54 wizzy.
Look up the summoning beasties quest in FG and take your group and about 200pp with you. Buy the cheapest bottle of beer to do the quest and set up in the tunnel and have a good time doing the quest.
If you can make it through 2 rotations, 6 mobs, your gonna get at least 1 of these spores, you might even get lucky and walk away with some loots to

Grimfang is a rare spawn "fish" in twilight sea, it wanders in the water area between the tower and scarlet zone. good luck =)

Try this little tactic if you have a 60 chanter in your group... Those Lotus blossoms that cannot move chain nuke for 450 plus.. Have your chanter (charm) it :) Then when you pull your mobs in :) the dang flower will rip em a new one :)
hmmm...We ran around Fungus Grove last night, and everything on track was green at lv 52.
Maybe you need to go deep deep inside. Red Fungal Fiend Spores dropped, but saw no other colors.

I was in Fungus Grove today, in the first mushie cave (well, the only one I went in - didn't go very far) had two(?) VERY large mushies that were scenery off to the left a bit on a hill, and surrounding the base were a group of little cute mushies that were "A small mushroom", and either solid blue or EVEN FIGHTS to me at 50th. These cute little even fights also Scowled at me, ready to attack. I did not pet or eat the mushies.

Strange. When I was there everything was Blue at 56. To a level 60 it was all light blue.

Where in Fungus Grove were you roaming?
Out of Echo and through the town I was getting green to blue cons.
All the things I found that were aggressive were blue.
A small mushroom
and that iritating perma-rooted chain nuking Lotus.
Both blue at 59.

They nerfed this zone conciderably a few patches ago.
Mobs that were blue to me at L57, went down to Light blue or even green, the XP from mobs that are still blue, droppped by more than 50%.
Spell drops were reduced, and the Agro rules in the zone changed. The Tormok now have some social agro rules.
It's a shame cause when this zone first opened, I managed to fill my alt adv bar in less than 8 hours.

This must be a higher level quest, over 50 for sure judging by the Fungus Grove and Paludal Caverns being a 50+ mob zone. Please post any information if anyone has been to these zones and if the mobs can be solo'd or grouped
paludal is like level 5-15
I did kill like 40-50 of the fiends and saw red scales drop about 3 or 4 times.. no blue or green though.. there was a mandible that dropped i think it was a muck one i forget i saved it.
