These vials of vampyre blood drop off the Coterie in the first houses to the right of the Dawnshroud entrance to Maiden's Eye also... smile...Also the ashes come from there and they work for this quest also.... I just did it... with both....now to try the blessed water I got for the fangs on the coterie and see if it damages them... smile... malachite reward for the ashes will go to increase my jewelrey making skill... smile...
Coterie in Maiden's Eye easy to pull if you target them from one direction and pull from another.... I target Coterie in courtyard and pull up the hill and necro partner kites it along the hill while his pet and I beat it up smile...
I target the Coterie in the far house from the backside of the first house and then go along the hillside to the far house and pull him out... then we kite as we did the courtyard coterie...
I target the Coterie in the near house by going to the backside of the far house and then I pull from close to the near house....
Hit between 87 and 196 points per hit so I don't engage much since I am in chain and necro is in caster armor.. smile...

Handed 4 ashes to Drenic with a warrior who conned him as dubious. Got the ashes back with the response that he did not need them.
Ashes dropped off the coterie in TM, so should be the correct ones.

As a 56 mage of Sullon Zek the chain casting involved in killing some of the named the 8 malachites are a nice reward compared to nothing ........ PLUS I kill the guards in city to increase AA points and this is the best way to get back faction from merchants to sell all my goodies SO don't knock a quest as useless It just may not be your ticket

i use a log parser to specifically count faction hits. ( actually just counts kills and messages to faction ) problem is some faction hits register higher than just the number counted by my parser. ( kill one named get 1 faction counter, but it's a huge faction hit )

I can see there is a third floor, but how do i get to it? I just go in the chamber with the four rooms with precantors and theurists but can't see a way to go higher in that building. Am I even in the right one?

The coterie of maidens eye also drop vampyre dust and blood, as well as the coveted akheva blood for the SK FD mask(no recycle time and like 1.5sec cast time) /drool
Are you talking about the Coterie Mask of the Dead? I remember something about a mask that cast FD, but it was nerfed so that there were only like 5 charges of it.
The result for turning in 4 Vampyre Bloods is currently the same as turning in 4 Vampyre Ashes -- you get 8 malachite, some experience, and the faction adjustments mentioned by braidfreak.
We got over 20 ashes in the time it took us to get 4 bloods, so this is a real disappointment. However, for all I know, theres a random chance of another reward (as in some of the quests in Skyshrine) so I'll keep trying as I get the turn in items.

i'm terribly dissapointed in the award. it took me killing massive ammounts of the vampires in tenebrous mountains to get 4 vampire ashes. i was all excited, and what i got was a whopping 8 malachite.

The reward for ashes is pretty crappy, but the blod quest totally stinks. Seriously, I've been quading vamps for faction for a few weeks now, and the drop rates I have parsed out:
Teeth: 2:10
Ashes: 1:10
Blood: 1:20
The teeth quest reward is better than malachites, but the blood is so rare that this is just disappointing.

I think you need to prove your case 1st before you say there were 4 given out at once. I do not think verant would go and make 4 of the SAME artifacts becuase that would ***** there programing over.

They hit for around 140's, proc 200 DD lifetap's.
We cleared them easily with a lvl.60 ranger, paladin and bard.
They are found in the Tenebrous Mountains and can also drop Coterie type armor which appears to be leather based. A 5ac 5wis/int belt with some other stats which i cannot remember off the top of my mind that dropped as well
