Resistance: MR,DR,PR high; no idea about FR, CR low (Bizzard Blast nuked for max - 10:2) Spawn time: 20-21 minutes Exp: Prolly 5-7 mobs for 1blue at lvl 51 HPs: Hmm, 4000 I guess Camp Point: Ledge left of Bridge to Castle. Its out of Melee range and Mob is not fleeing when hes down on HPs Faction: True Spirit, but u will not loose it when u kill it Why I killed it: Tested for the bigger Brother (Dire Wolf) for Shammy EPIC
On the plateau with the bridge that connects to the castle, there is a tree, climb the tree have lev or DMF on, float across the bloodwolves area and you can get on the castle above them. You can cast on them and they can't hit you back, insane xp. (I've of course never done this, that would be WRONG. *cough*)
the physics in the world of EverQuest are simple. if you can hit it, it can hit you, regardless of the difference in vertical height. that's why your melee range significantly increases while engaging a brute or mountain giant, who is able to do you damage from afar.
that is to say, your melee range is a dynamic thing, dependent on the reach of your target, which means the developer of this game tries to play fair. and you better do so as well hehe *_^
while in other RPGs one can use levitation as a very effective way to avoid losing HPs, that's not the case with our MMORPG of choice. still trying to figure why. maybe the lev series of spells were quite useful in the first place and then got nerfed?
I know from experience that while Levitate can keep you out of a MoB's aggro range, once they are after you they can apprently hit you with no regard to vertical distance. The first time I experienced this was when I was floating/running through North Ro and got attacked my a madman. I was floating WAY above him, but he was still hitting me.
Never been there but he makes it sound like hes in another section they cant get to? but yes, in Lake Rathe the Ramp with 3 aviaks, I was hit from what would be 250 feet up in real life :)~
