Isolated it's spawn to one of a few mobs that always repop as fire elementals. Most of the elementals on the island can be of any type but this one will always be a fire elemental.

Logged on last night, was memming Spirit of Bin'li when i seen text saying "Inferno casts a spell" I had to take a triple take.. Got up and he was right next to me.. Had 30M so I followed him around for about 10minutes...Got impatient and tried to Instill him, YAH RIGHT all the named elementals are Immune to slow/root spells. He charged and my wolf fought him off for about 40 seconds while i DoT'ed... Then the add's happened, pet died And i got smacked by Inferno for 100,98, had to run the add's were bad.. So i did a 10 minute jog stoping in between to DoT, finally dropped him and got a short sword of flame.. For those saying their lvl 35 and drop the Elemental Bosses no problem are Lying He Was TOUGH. and conned blue at 39.

The fire elementals are much easier if you hit them with a cancel magic type of spell first, as it knocks off their fire sheild.
The fire elementals have the least (or second least) amount of hit points, and aren't to hard without their damage sheild.

I have been killing air eles mostly and a few fire eles. I killed Inferno once and helped kill Areo once. I am kos to both air and fire. Any clue how to get unkos? I hear there is not. And now the new port drops me in the middle of the mobs. I will learn how to zone into fungus with my eyes closed soon. As I do not always get camo up faster than the argo. Heheheh oh well.

My main is a 40 monk and the lvls of these mobs seem nice to solo but I was wondering if I might need a healer partner even if my main has very nice equipment?
LOL - u would have no problems. I (34 Cleric) was teamed here with a chanter friend (lvl 36) - both untwinked with level appropriate equipment (mostly). We were picking off elementals easily 1 or 2 at a time. He went off line for 30 minutes and I soloed my last few bits of XP to 35. When my friend came back, we got lucky and had Aero and Hydro pop for us.
All told after 3 hours of slow but steady XP, (about 1 blue an hour) things went wrong and we had 4 Fire Elementals on us, but we both gated safely.

1 blue an hour at 34-35? Thats serious crap exp, try Nurga or Droga

It looks like he meant to say a yellow an hour. Otherwise, yeah, this exp sucks. The zone has alot of good newbie loot though if you're high enough to own the zone (as a level 49 druid should be able to).

from a berserk water elemental i got a fetish of the nimble yesterday, it fits into secondary and range slot, it's 3 ac, 5 agi, 5 dex, and +2% to dodge

Last night he dropped a 9/27 1hs 5str 5sta 5dex 5agi 5 fire damage 10 svf. we just killed all fire elementals only and he spawned after 10 min.

Hope this helps.
After spending days on this island, I have the following information. The best chance you have at getting any "greater" elemental (swift, beserk, gigantic, Aero, Hydro, Terra, and Inferno, etc) is to simply kill as many elementals as you can, as quickly as possible. Every time an elemental spawns, there is a chance that a "greater" elemental will spawn. Each "greater" elemental drops either a lesser or greater item, always. Once you kill a gigantic elemental or a named elemental of a particular type, you will become KOS for that particular type immediately. Otherwise, your faction goes down slowly each time you kill one, and goes up with the people in the castle on the island. Air Elementals are sometimes invisible, so having see invisible is a plus. It seems to me that killing the elementals near the Large Rocks in the middle of the island seems best, as the "greaters" always seem to spawn near these rocks, but, simply killing them all is best anyway. If you have a full group, the loot is plentiful, and for NON UBER folk, very good. I was there for 5 hours with a full group the other night, and everyone except me looted 2 items (I have all the items that dropped, and they are lore). In all the time I have spent on this island, which is well over 36 hours, I have only seen 1 named Elemental, Aero, once. I also know he spawned on patch day, after a server re-pop. droped a 7/24 sword with a +3 fire damage and minor stats, btw killing him makes you KoS to all fire elementals instantly....same for the other ones.

i killed him and i m still aprehensive... and he dropped the sword... was ressisting my fire dot song all the time but almost never resisted the magic based one...

I've killed the air elemental boss (Aero) and didnt go KoS. Maybe you were already low dubious?
