Why is it that the nightmares in Plane of Nightmares, supposedly a lower plane than Plane of Fear, look cooler than the Plane of Fear nightmares. They should give these horsies the new skins

this is not equestrielle the corrupted it is an evil black horse (like her) but it is in a completely different zone. it is cool lookin though...

There is a magic card called nightmare. Looks Exactly like this horse.
TAr came out with a monster named "nightmare" about 3 decades ago. and, yeah...looks like this. Same as the magic card, too. fantasy will always rip off fantasy. all of this stuff is ripped off tolkien. but we wouldnt like it without the plagerism.

Then Magic card creators buy EQ, train to Lvl 51, join an uber guild, go on a PoF raid, and look at the MoB's to get ideas! SCUM!!!!

looks like the nightmares are not your usual mob, as they drop only armor that one race/class can use...
I was one of 2 Iksar SK's us there, and one left early... no Nightmares were pulled and the only thing I could have gotten was a Fearsome Shield, but I lost the roll...
Good luck on trying to get some Nightmares, as they're not en route to anything that others are willing to get to.

Clearly, Greenmist wins out in the disease department and I think it is a big plus for PvP purpose. To my understanding, snare is disease based and you know how much a druid loves to snare you before nuking you to death.
Does anybody know what the Greenmist armor look like on a character? I am still waiting to get some help to do my khurki quests. Hopefully, I will be fully Greenmist soon.

The appearance is reportedly near identical to Dreadscale, so those concerned about their fashion clashing need not worry. Supposedly a shade lighter/greener than Dreadscale, but upgrading from Dreadscale to Greenmist won't make you the eyesore everyone else is.

'Bout time we finally got some decent armor, after all we are KoS every where, and we cant wear plate all of the other IKS SK amror is horrible so this is a nice way of saying were sorry for making life so tought being a IKS

it really is amazing how stupid some people are(damionde) this is a GAME, nothing more , and if you get so involved into the game that you hate certain races ao classes, it just shows you how stupid you can be , WAKE UP ,, IT'S JUST A GAME

Ive never been on one of these raids yet, but i soon will with many friends. No one really posted if A Nightmare is a common spawn. Oh well, update me, this is really exciting news, for i thought it was a random drop!

I've been to Fear only twice. The first trip was with my 51 necro. But this last trip was with my 48 Iksar SK.
We pulled and killed 6 Nightmares on each trip. The first trip, a Breastplate dropped, as well as a necro wand, Nightmare Hide, and Iksar Warrior Helm. (we still don't know why, but it did).
This second time, I was extremely lucky. Of the 6 Nightmares we pulled and killed, a Breastplate, 2 Bracers, and a Hide dropped. And the Hide and 1 of the Bracers was off the same Nightmare. I was one HAPPY lizard that day! 3 Fear drops, and I was the only one around to wear it.
It's just the luck of the draw. But it's great armor and a wonderful stepping stone between Dreadscale/Ry'gorr, and Noc armor or other Velious armors. I plan on going back and hopefully getting more Greenmist VERY soon!

In a fear raid yesterday one of the nightmare's dropped the iksar warrior helm, legionaire's scaled helm, and my iksar warrior looted it. I have a few pieces from hate but I thought the nightmares only dropped the SK armor. If anyone finds other legionaire scaled off these please post it I still need bp and arms thanks.

Went to Fear on Sun., June 10th, 2001......saw a chain mail and the arm armor for iksar sk's drop...you CAN pull these fairly easily WITHOUT pulling CT, they melee around the 133 range, unsure of hp, however, they seemed to be dropping armor left and right on this raid, pulled a total of 6 nightmares, two armor pieces, along with a NECRO ONLY wand with 4 charges of Cascading Darkness.....a nice lvl 51 snare type spell, my stupid *** though, first time up there, didn't have a chance to loot that one and it rotted due to me giving mana to two different clerics att that were lom.....better luck next raid

These things don't even hardly get pulled on raids. 3 raids I've seen a grand total of 3 nightmares killed. Makes me smokin mad.Plan on gettin your armor upgrades somewhere else, don't count on this stuff. Big FREAKIN DISAPPOINTMENT! On the brightside though I still got higher AC than the plate races without my plane gear >:P Thanks to Velious, you can get around this.I ain't gonna quit tryin though, gonna hit every fear raid I can. Maybe I get lucky >:)

Oh cry me a river. There's hardly any of these because there's hardly any iksar SKs on fear raids. Ever fear raid I go to, this stuff drops and there's no iksar SKs around to give the stuff to. Try being a druid or ranger or pally on a fear raid sometime. Puhleease.

Nightmare hide counts as armor drops which sucks a fat harry. I have been on 23 fear raids for net gain of 3 armor items. please spam bug report a 3% DROP RATE IS A JOKE. Always here of greenmist rotting on ground ( i think its a myth myself). Join lynch mob and kill variant bad enough most guild dont pull them cause mob near them (cazic) then when they do they drop hides.

while fighting in city of mist on march 14, i get this tell from a lvl 58 warr whom i did not know. he gave me a tell saying 'sk armour just dropped in fear'. I told him that was cool but iksars can't wear sk armour that was in fear. He then gave me the biggest news since Plane armour for iksar sk dropped in POG, he said 'But this armour that dropped is IKSAR ONLY!' Told me that the name was called Greenmist and boots where what dropped. All sk iksars know the legend behind Greenmist and I would have to say, no other name fits stats of armour this great. I forgot all the stats but it went something like this for the boots 'ac 17 str 5 int 5 hp 30, and a couple more stat adjustments. I dont belive he was bluffing though and that i cant wait to set up some raids for Fear this upcoming week. Dropped off of Nightmare is what he told me also, it makes sense since nightmare didnt drop diddaly. So Ikars rejoice, for once verant has really did something to make our life a little easier instead of making it more painful to be a lizard.

Invictus..bad news bud. Pray that Cazic-Thule isn't up. Because if he is and you don't have a force large enough to kill him, chances are you're going home without a single Nightmare pulled.
And since on most raids the Nightmares are the last thing pulled, by the time it comes time to get to them your numbers have severally depleted due to the large number of drops that occur once certain mobs are brought down. People suddenly remember they've got something else they really have to do..2 seconds after the last mob that drops their armor falls. Worthless SOBs.
But with luck at least the possibility is there you'll get your armor. But if you hear Cazic shout, and the goal of the raid isn't to take him down..leave. Because if you stay all you'll be doing is assisting other SOBs that could not care less about you get their planar stuff. Then watch as the size of the raid dwindles after each mob type falls.
Unless you've got some ideas on how to pull them without agroing Cazic himself. People from the last raid I was on weren't willing to even make the attempt.

Don't laugh too hard. Now iksars are non-KOS to Cazic. We can go right up and hail him if we want.
