I was running invisible through the right yard of Ry`Gorr Keep towards the Crystal Caverns zone building when I cut a little to close to the main Keep building. I saw 3 orc aggro messages (..cut of your toes!) and got hit with a Scourge. My invis dropped when the spell hit. I made it to Crystal Caverns with about 200 hit points and noticed I was losing about 20 points a tic. Luckily, there was a Shaman just inside CC who could cure disease and heal me. That was nasty.

So! When running to CC, stay AWAY from the Ry`Gorr Keep central building.

The Oracle is definetly 47 to 50. He cons blue to my 53 Sk, and he is no puss. We took him with a 49 Warrior 53 Sk and a 49 Shammy. Worst is that he is surronded by the Elite. They aggro super easy even from outside the walls once ya **** em off. But that works to your advantage as an Sk puller just get close and Wait takes about 2 mins for em to pop outside the walls again. Fd and have the Warrior tag the last one, Rinse and repeat.

Oracle types

a RyGorr oracle - In Crystal Caverns - basic Shamanistic mobs, level probably 30-34. Cloak is rare drop (about one in 50)

Oracle of RyGorr - spawns on throne in RyGorr keep - Always (I think) level 44. About as strong as Chief, except he gates when low on health (never seen shield although this is supposedly where it drops from)

Oracle of RyGorr - many spawn during ring quest raid on the keep. Approximate level is 50. Drop velium weapons and supposedly the shield too.

May be more Oracles, but those are the main ones you're likely to see

As menionned it should be clear that there are two orcacle kind and may be 3 if we count a special 50 one.

the ones in cc, those are wimps. I never went in cc but they probably at most 40.

the ones in the fort, conning yellow to 44; and may be red (i was not always checking the con).

the special one that we may had killed, i got Oracle of rygoor (capital) and not [a] and he was yellow
so not 50.


I don't think a 39 druid can solo those guys, they nullify magic, triple for 100.
ie the one we fought with hate kiting
cancelled ensnare 3 times; and winged death twice;
our high 30 low 40 tank were missing a lot.


They drop usual rygor stuff and no cloak, cloak must be from the cc ones.

Badly enough they can come with elites, which are all exactly 44, elite are much easier since they are basically oracle with no spell.


The pulling seems tricky we often got 2 elite and a cent; or two elite and the smith. Implying epic battle since group average level was like 39.

I suspect that when oracle is up, elite get buffed against magic. be warned.


Some low 50 solo there, so i claim those elite and orcale are prety tough.

I have killed this guy partnered with a monk and twice partnered with a chanter, but until i get winged death he is a tough solo. I only soloed him once. If I could pull him alone I don't think I would have a problem, but his pull usually aggros elites.
He greater heals when around 1/4 health and gates sometimes.
Dot and root when he gets around his heal point calefaction then starfire.
Very easy with 2 people

this is a named spawn inside the ry'gorr fort. he is mid 40's level. you can tell it's named because of the capital letters in the name.

ry'gorr oracle

random spawn, like a centurion or legionaire. you'll find these as random spawns.


i hope this clears up all the confusion. i'll also email Illia to try and get this updated.

Conned one last night by the bridge that was blue to me at 41. I was shocked to come here and see people 5 levels higher have had them con red. This seems like it would pretty much eliminate any camp that they spawn in. How could a small group of high 30's take out a 48 oracle?!!!

Are there subtle differences between the one I saw last night and this one? Such as an orc warrior/a orc warior?

Killed this guy last night, got Ry gorr oracle shield. 12 ac 5 wis 50 mana, Looks kewl as all hell. Seen very few of them and no websites have it anywheres so guessing its pretty rare =)P

I went with a group of 3 people into the Crystal Caverns and there are Oracles down there. I won a roll of a cloak off one and the Oracle was yellow to me at 27th level. We killed several others but only one cloak dropped and every one of them was fairly easy for us to kill.
