Damaged Goblin CrownI completed this portion of the cleric epic quest with my 54 cleric, a 53 warrior and a 53 enchanter. A little overkill since the Spirit of Flame is only a 40th level mob, but we were bored.
We headed to 3600, 0 which is at the far north end of the map, dead center. You will see a cabin up on a grassy hill. Shmendrik Lavawalker was standing there in his red robe. I handed him Lord Bergurgle's Crown, and immediately Natasha Whitewater spawned and began casting spells. We couldn’t see WHERE she spawned, but we saw her spell casting emotes so we just stood back and waited.
After about a minute, Natasha came walking from the cabin (I still don’t know exactly where she spawned), walked up to Shmendrik and started beating on him. She conned dark blue to me, Shmendrik was green. We stood back and let her kill him. It took about 2 minutes. When Shmendrik got to about 10% hp he started to walk toward the lake. I rooted him to keep the action in our area. Natasha cut him down.
Immediately A Spirit of Flame spawned over Shmendrik’s corpse. It started beating on Natasha and she fought back. I have heard you DO NOT want Natasha to kill the Spirit, so our tank jumped in and pulled aggro from the Spirit. Our chanter mezzed and mem-wiped Natasha just to be safe (I think if you get the Spirit away from her she will not pursue, but we didn’t want to take any chances). We easily hacked down the Spirit and I looted a Damaged Goblin Crown. I turned the crown into Natasha and she gave me the Ornate Sea Shell. Natasha despawned.
P.S. Shmendrik Lavawalker is on a three hour timer so to spawn Natasha you'll have to wait for him to pop.

Well you know what's even easier than killing them both? Turn in the crown to Shm and let Natasha spawn. She will start to attack Shm. Once he is down to a very low ammount of HP (1-15%), gain the aggro from Natasha in some way. Now use atone on Shm and simply nuke him to death. You will be able to loot it. When the fire thingie spawns, let Natasha kill it a lot, and basically repeat the process. Then, atone Natasha and turn in the crown and there you have it!!!

I would HIGHLY recomend that you kill Shmendrik first then Spirit of Flame, without turning in the crown. Then wait 3 hours for him to respawn and then turn in the crown. If you do this make sure to have some mana left in case you need to heal natasha like I did. Did this solo as a level 51 cleric.

It appears that if you stay close enough to Shmendrik when he gets killed by Natasha, A Spirit of Flame will aggro you first and Natasha will stay out of the fight. To be safe you probably want to pull him away from her in case he has an AoE and have a charmer/mezzer ready in case she does end up attacking him.

Ok.. when you give the Lord's crown to Shm, that spawns Natasha, but you dont need to spawn her to get what you need to give to her. Kill Shm and the spirit of flame, looting the damage goblin crown. Then get Lord's crown (most likely this will be 20 hours later) give it to shm, let natasha own the spirit of flame and hand her the damaged goblin crown, recieving the Ornate Shell.

I was wondering if you could just straight up kill the guy in the robe to spawn the Spirit of Flame and then kill it. Will there be a damaged crown on the corpse?

Can someone tell me if after I turn in the Berg's crown to Shmendrik and spawn Natasha can I give the other crown to her as she is in the middle of killing him, or do I have to go through the process of killing the spirit flame again? And if so how long does Natasha give you before she despawns? An explanation would be much obliged.

This part was real easy. had just finished raid and decided to check if Shmendik was up. He was I turned in crown and let the natasha kill him. once spirit of flame popped. chnater in group mezd her while we killed spirit. once spirit was dead and I had crown. Chanter mem blurred her and I turned in crown to her. wham that part done. all in all took 5 minutes. would have been faster but chanter accidentally mezd natasha early. hope this helps.

When I got into the game, *SMACK* Huh? *Smack* What the?...Zone to SK to find a nice little group of 3 peeps who gladly trained this thing to the zoneline to whack me for 250dmg. Hell of a start to a day.

I can only second the motion on runners and trainers... if you're going to do your quest or monster good luck with it, but please KILL what you spawn. I was happily swimming through the water, when A Spirit of Flame hits you *whack*whack*whack* returning to home point... Please kill your monsters or leave someone in the zone to warn people. Any chance of a rez? ;)
Oh, and wouldn't people think that a Spirit of Flame would go out in such a large body of water?

i've try to do this part yesterday but it turn bad.
me and 3 other lvl 50+ was there and i give the crown to the guy, the lady spanw and killed the guy and that element spawn.
for some reason, the element start attacking natasha and we start to cast, 4 of us have cast 2 spell on the element each BUT the fatal hit had been done by natasha.
because natasha kill the element, the element just pop out the same way a regular guard will kill a rat, the rat will pop out.
so. because of that i could'n loot the domaged crown. :(
so now i need to camp the lord in the lake again.. :(
i hope that little bad storry will help other cleric who will try to do the quest and if it's a bug, i hope it will be compence some how :(

Thanks for posting this. I have seen the advice to first kill Shmendrik Lavawalker and the spirit, then wait 3 hours and hand in the crown. The explanation was unclear, i was actually reading this to clear this point.

Definately kill Shmendrik first and loot the damaged crown, then camp Begurgle's crown. By the time you finally kill Begurgle, Shmendrik will have respawned. It's just plain safer.

This is the first thing you have to kill on yer way to the Cleric epic weapon. He is a pushover in comparison to the lvl 55+ mobs we have to fight after that.

He's triggered by Killing Schmendrik Lavawalker. As a level 35 troll sk, I wasted Schmendrik (with my pet) and then this guy popped. Conned red, so I booked, but the few hits he got in on me on my way to zone were below 80 damage.
