Ulump Pujluk croaks slowly and wipes a filthy muck from its eyes as it tries to look at you. 'Something come to talk to Ulump. Too much pain. Just go.' It goes back to scratching and wiping at its muck and filth covered body.

You say, 'what pain?'

Ulump Pujluk says, 'Much pain. Much pain since tiny priest came to swamp. Found Ulump, once mighty warrior, and caught his soul in bottle. Twisted it and tied it to the earth. All day Ulump feels the corruption and pain of the earth beneath his feet.'

You say, 'what corruption?'

Ulump Pujluk says, 'Corruption spread by priests of disease. It slides and moves just beneath the surface of the land. Ulump not able to hold on any more. If you stormwalker and trying to cleanse the land then you must kill Ulump. Kill him and take his essence and the three foci from the corrupted beasts to the filthy gnome who hurts the land. Ulump can feel him, far off near the large water.'

Yes it was a long fight about 5-10 mins, but I duo'd Ulump today with myself lvl 60 druid and a lvl 65 Bst. So he's really not that hard. Didn't get any DoTs to land, so it was strickly melee. I just kept the bst healed the whole fight.

We took him last night with the below group, tough fight, but wizzy's landed most lure spells and druid landed winged 3 times.

We took him down 2 nights ago with two groups.... EASY.... went back last night with one, and he went down again longer... but still pretty painless...
mix was:
2 Druids (54,61) Casting only Wings of Death and back up heals
1 Warrior (58)
1 Rogue (57)
Wizzy (57) lull only
Pally (58) Main healer

Wings of Death will land... but about 30% of the time.. All other drood spells wouldn't land....

I just took care of him at 11:00 AM EST and it was really no problem for the 3 of us.

My DOTS landed most of the time, but the mage couldnt nuke it, anyway his pet did most of the damage and the fight was over in about 4 minutes. He took off at 10%, and could not be snared so we killed him under water. Good luck all, and I am off to VSR.

For all those saying this guy is eazy, this may just be bad luck for me but I have taken a few groups to try and kill him and had to evac every time. Each group had 1 55+ cleric, 1 55+ main tank, 3 50+ melees for more dmg, 1 sham, myself(druid), & sometimes others (mage, chanter, etc).

Never got him lower then 60% hp left so for all those he is eazy post I either have bad luck with the MA getting hit harder then normal or he is not as easy as everyone says.

With a 55 pal tanking one time (yea I know but the main guy bailed on me) he got hit for 225 max, but normally 60-70 or 170-180. So he was getting hit for around 110 on average (but very fast).

I just had a very interesting encounter with Uulump. I was in the Swamp of No Hope getting my Key to Howling Stones, and after I had recieved the key from Dugroz, I recalled he was green, so I attacked him. Resulting in Uulump IMMEDIATELY attacking me. Now I doubt that Uulump was in that area, but he very well could have been. I would like to give it some more testing, like say if you need Uulump to spawn, and he's not on track, then have someone attack Dugroz. This has -NOT- been confirmed, it's just a thought. Might be a way to trigger Uulump to spawn, but I don't know... something to try out...

Uulump is right by the water behind some trees, just beyond Dugroz. I highly do not reccomend killing Dugroz unless you don't want to do any more quests for he is on Beta Neutral faction. From every report, everyone who has killed a mob on Beta Neutral faction gets insta-ruined faction ("your standing cannot get any worse" message).

The turn in is easy enough, just make sure to stay on the far side or Uulump who is just outside the city. I just got my HS key last night (imagine my surprise when I zone in from FV to find out someone trained a Black Ravenger there! Barely zoned back in time).

Hes tough but not excessivly so

Took him down with a 58 warrior a 60 druid a dual boxed 57 cleric and a 54 druid.

Druids dots where landing, slow (from tod) wasnt and nukes even moonfire where bouncing.

Took a long time (15 mins) but no one dropped below 50% mana

Ok No offense people but heh you post the same crap 100 times over and over and over again if it's posted there is no need to post it again. Ulump is not 100% MR 70% maybe possably less Tonight Ulump died 1 61 monk 1 61 cleric 1 60 shaman 1 56 druid 10 minutes and he was gone. I was able to land winged death every time (6 times)
clicked vambs drones of doom (10 or so times) landed. resisted fire dot once and landed (3 times) This mob is not totaly difficult but can be troublesome he's on a 12 hour spawn 3 days a week. I have killed him many times with other fellow druids and found out he's usually up on fridays/tuesdays/sundays .. again if your not posting info worth wile ect like " yo! I got here first" or crap like wow this guys mean he hit me hard blah blah blah" go somewhere else and post some people actually use this as guides and dont feel like sifting through the miles of crap posted.

I think the reason he is "easy" in comparison to all the other high HP mobs is that he doesn't cast (or does he? hopefully gonna get him today). Thus making the fight a lot easier than fighting say, Faydedar. No AE and no fear ( I love it when the casters don't need to worry about taking damage from spells) leaving everyone to concentrate on keeping the tanks alive and not themselves.

Yes, he is a pure warrior class. Not much is needed to kill him, although if you aren't high enough in lvl, even WITH the resist system changes, he will still resist most of your spells. Just bring strong tanks and healers and you'll do fine. People have been taking him down with 1 to 2 groups lately.

I'm almost positive this guy wanders. I took aggro from him right outside Cabilis while trying to get a Skipper Stone for my shackle quest. He does camp (I'm FDing right by him as I write this).

If only there was a druid in the zone looking for him...

Went to the swamp last night and Ulump was up and in the spawn spot previously posted neg100 neg1770.

I put out a request to my guild for some assistance and I did not have to ask twice for the friendly people of my guild to come along and help.

Group was ME (52 Wanderer), 60 Warlord, 60 Phantasmist, 50 Shadowknight, 51 Pathfinder, 51, Vicar, 52 Reaver and a couple of others who class I forget but at least one damage dealer in backup.

Warlord got a good aggro going the rest of us just joined in for fun really...I threw in a couple of Sup Heals alonf with a couple of Complete Heals from the cleric...not forgetting to zing the Warlord every 30 seconds or so.

Seemed some DoT's do land (some form of plague) but my fire based DoT was resisted twice.

All in all the fight lasted 4 Mins with No deaths and no one under 60 mana. According to the warrior he hit like a sissy.

Good luck to all you druids who still need this fella.

Our group was a little big maybe but my guildmates like the action but he could be taken down with one UBER tank, One Damage dealer of another sort, A cleric and A Dru on backups. So long as your MA knows what he/she is doing there is no reason for this Teeny Frog to be a problem.

A group from my guild along with a few friends did this evil frog in last night. Our group was similar to those described above and worked fine, but having done a lot of research on this guy in preperation for the fight, one thing was repeated over and over; he is resistant to magic other than Lull.

I wanted to let all those hopefull druids out there know that we were landing Winged Death, and ES Vamps Drones of Doom on him almost every time, as well another Druid with his epic was landing the epic DoT on him as well.

48 SK landed 3 of 9 heat blood (fire), but 0 of 5 heart flutter (magic)
60 druid was landing most dots (winged death, etc.)

Try your non-magic based spells, especially fire-based, you may be surprised what lands (especially if you have lots of casters along for the party).

I was helping a low level enchanter trying to get some totem from Ton Warriors in this zone. Were wandering around smacking frogs and this guy wanders up and starts the gangsta style beat down.

We live and decide the other side of the zone would be safer and head to frogville, While killing stuff there he comes up and tries to hurt me gain.

So we run, again. After trying to figure out where the enchanter went to, my selo's icon starts blinking. Next: YOU have been bashed for 49. hit for 225, 225, kicked for 30... Selos dies. So do I.

Hence ended the adventure of a level 59 (58 after Ulump.) bard, and a low level enchanter.

He does camp corpses. (/sigh). But didn't see invis. Probably normally stays in one area, but he made an exception to hurt me. (We did clear agro after first encounter).

All I can say is bring the pizza and beer along with your friends cause you will be there awhile.

6 person group took us over 4minutes only cause the bugger started running in the end.

Here is how it was done.

lvl 60 tank pulls, gets a good agro going, then calls for assist and the action begins.

This dude hits hard and can get a couple fast taps in there that can take a lot of life from your tank. Cleric should start the cheal at 25%, the druid should cast 2 chloroblast ( lvl 55 spell )to buy time for the cleric on the 10 second cast. Since the fight will be so long, you have to zing your lower level tanks every 30s to 45s depending on their need. In this case, I had to zing all but the lvl 60, which was expected.

After looking at the log file, this guy has a liitle over 31k hitpoints, just thank the lord he does not cast.

Final note, this guy is completely 100% magic resistant, as you will read in other post, so casting on him is nothing more than wasting mana you could have used for heals.

So I, an enchanter, am cruising around the frog village at level 34. Because its easier to cruise around the swamp with levitate up, I am in my illusion Air Elememnta form.
I walk right up to this guy before I saw him. Was with in 10 feet. I con him because I am alive, hehe to my surprise, and he is indifferent to me. I left the area quickly anyway.
I hear he is KOS to everyone, cept Air form,least it seems. Did not try other illusions, but I bet all the elementals are good.

Me, 54 human monk, showed up around him today and he was dubious. I cant say for sure, but i happen to be dubious to live froglocks as well, so he may be on their faction, no clue /shrug

Spawns at neg100 neg1770? I still think he wonders. It could be that I have run into him 5 or 6 times recently. He guards my body feigned death or dead; luckily he can't see invisible. I've seen him in frog village, to south of village and north of village. Ugh, made troll to get my froglok blood from now on.

Coalition of Power took him down tonight 06/10/02. He has 32k HP, and 100% MR, Lures do work, but are essentially pointless if you've prepared your group with tanks. Ulump only lasted maybe 5 minutes. MA took agro and held it, while druids & clerics chain-healed him. Back-up melee jumped in on assist and it was smooth sailing from there. No deaths, nobody with less than 50% mana, and nobody dipped below 80% health during the entire fight. MA was an Epic Pally - 55, support melee included a 60 Rogue, 52 Pally, 56 Ranger, and Mage pet. Ulump is overrated.

We built up a pickup group to help a 56 druid to get the essence. So we had a 60 warrior for tanking, me 55 cleric, the druid, another 4 druid, 51-52-42, a 54 paladin around 40 rogue and a 53 chanter.
Well after 6 tries of slow it was over for enchanter, couldnt land anything. Same for all druids, they were unable to land any DD.
He hit fast an hard, max hit i saw was 225, and he was hitting for high damage on the full SS armor warrior pretty often. The fight was pretty long due to the lack of high level melee, and he did run at the end (Hehe funny to chase him through the water), but we finally managed to kill him.
Agree with him having at least 32k hps :)
Chain CH on the tank with druids tossing heals when CH was slow to come, i finished the fight with 30 mana.

The 60 cleric kept the ranger c-healed for the whole fight till the end, backup cleric c-healed once. Druids tossed small superior heals in between and rogues proceeded to rape him from behind...

Was maybe a bit overkill, but we wanted to be on safe side. He has loads of hp, but as long as you keep your main tank healed you'll be fine.
