as of today his location is -2393, 1168, 102. he is up the hillside to the west of the PoK book that is closest to Paineel ent. spawn timer is about 5 minutes.

Supposedly this guy is the easiest way to work up your guk faction for the Crown of Deceit quest. I'd just like to say he's on a 13 minute spawn timer, clocked it myself.

BAH....i killed him EASY with my level 5 monk....just attack him first and dont move alot....simple as pie

I've made it a personal goal to kill this ******* every time I'm in Toxxulia. Last night I got some troll parts off him, decided to make them into pickles and eat them. It made me happy for the rest of the day. Talk about job satisfaction!

I tracked this **** down with my 30 druid and did a favor for muse and all Low level people everywhere.I smeared his *** with one combust.He dropped a troll head,lore no drop, and troll parts.

Okay, I'm a newcomer to Odus, hailing from the WESTSIDE! of Faydwer =) I ported to the wizzy spires from Luclin and made my way (with a little help from True North) all the way to Erudin's patio without being attacked. I crossed the bridge, but no sign of the troll. The map on EQ Atlas says he's on the far left side on the shore by Kerra Isle but elsewhere it says he's on the bridge. Where did everyone see him? What's his loot? And, if you kill him, wouldn't you lose faction with trolls? Just a thought...

It aggroed on me from Paineel side of bridge. Blindness suckes but I just kept casting/piercing on it. Hopefully you target it or it auto targets when it hits you so you can do this when you are blind. May try typing in /target Rungupp as well. So at level 6, as a wizard, I barely soloed it. Went OOM and it got me to near death. Hope this clears some things up. Anhk 14 WIZ on Vazaelle

My level 5 enchantress killed him with a little help from her pet. :-) He kept casting blind but my animation pounded him and I cast suffocating sphere on him and finally he died and I didn't even loose too many HP.

took him out with my lvl 21 druid without a problem.Used careless lightning on him.

I have killed him at level 6 without a lot of difficulty !
I'm a magician, and, of course, I have send my pet at contact, keeping me away.
A lot of burn on his head, and he died, leaving me his head.
But the quest is not really interesting (a spell level 4, a little experience for his head), so, I suggest not to fight Rungupp.
He's too much dangerous, and not interesting.

i'm omw to stonebrunt. a 28 druid. if i see him i'll take his *** out :)

This is a creature that seems to be very easy or very hard depending on your class. Rungupp is NOT easy to kill unless you have a pet or group. He blinds you constantly, and when he runs away while you are blinded he is back again with full health in, maybe, 30 seconds. He seems to have infinite mana too. Is that true for all monster spellcasters? (I haven't been playing the game very long)

The good thing is that Rungupp will not likely kill you single handedly either once you are over lvl 8, because his nukes and punches don't hurt very much. Note that the Erudite Emissiaries or Guards will not help you against Rungupp for some reason. He might CAUSE you to die though, because he sometimes pulls skeletons, and he keeps casting these annoying blinding spells on you. Once you are out of mana, low on health or just generally fed up and start running, well timed blinding spells might cause you to stumble into more wandering skeletons (if low level) or necromancers (if a bit higher). Fighting these blinded and without mana while Rungupp nukes and blinds you from a distance is no fun. I have died twice that way even though he conned green to me several levels back, and my personal mission in life right now is to get even with the green *******.
