Pandos Flintside  

hasnt failed on me yet.

have a friend invis you soon as you lose invis when handing in item. Did this w/ Lich of Miragul, Pandos, and every mob that required faction in entire paladin epic just recently.

Good luck getting someone out to invis you in ocean of tears; it really brought out the hidden meaning of that zone

As you enter the doorway into the Inn, look left and you should see Trissa Whistlesong (Task Master); look right and you will see Pandos.

If you use the Find system and target Trissa Whistlesong as your target to find and follow the wisp trail to her then turn 180 degrees as you face her and there is Pandos waiting to make you mad.

Fully KOS ranger after killing PoG and Tunare several times...
(used camo to get behind Pandos and then used HIDE before dropping camo)

85 muffin stacks = King Tearis Thex MAXED.
(no longer needed HIDE due to indifferent con to Pandos)
120 muffin stacks = ALLY with Pandos.
at 130 muffin stacks I decided to check faction with Althele even though I was not maxed at any other factions. I conned WARMLY with Althele.

Where is this guy Located at since the revamp of Freeport?

i have tried all the tricks and nothing has worked so far.. have turned in 200 stacks of batwings and he is still KoS to me : (

I've been reading these posts for a while wondering how I could pull this quest off with a dark elf shadowknight. Bottom line, I don't need to get attacked by random guards while I run through Greater Fay on LDoN corpse runs and such. So here's how I pulled it off -- fasten your seat belts, this is gonna be a bumpy ride.

First and foremost, Pandos cons scowling to a DE with default faction (i.e., no negative hits against Faydarks Champions). He cons even more scowling to DE followers of Inny. Imagine that. So I figured I'd wait until the mid-40's, when he starts to con green. Well, guess what... Pandos is a suicide aggro mob. Granted, there's that 5 second period where you could *maybe* hand him a muffin, but all he's going to say is, "I will do nothing to aid a being like you," or some similar dorf drivel.

I decided to try a wood elf illusion. No dice: the bazaar on Tunare is perpetually out of Essence of Wood Elf potions, and I'm not sure the novelty factor of this quest is *quite* high enough for me to justify spending the amounts of plat involved to pick one up. Yes, I'm a 51 SK. A very BROKE 51 SK. So, I happened upon a kind enchanter who was projecting air elemental illusions on everyone in PoK. I figured, what the hell, why not try wood elf?

So he followed me into Freeport out of curiosity to see what I was up to. He cast the wood elf illusion, and Pandos still conned scowling when I got to him. I handed him a muffin just before he aggroed, and the chanter cast Mez. Well, I was able to click Give and get faction hits, but I couldn't hand him another muffin while Mez was up. So he tried charming him. While charmed, I could give him muffins without using my Hide trick, but all I got was the miniscule thousandth of a percent of xp -- no faction.

This is when I decided to play hardball. I logged on my cleric on my second machine, and snuck him into Freeport. I got him upstairs, and the fun began. First I had him root Pandos... Followed by a quick cast of Atone (hate list wipe), and then I cast Pacify. The fun began.

From there, I managed to hand him roughly 20 stacks of muffins while standing just outside of aggro range (heh, it's about the size of the target ring with Paci), using the Hide trick all the while. I had him up to threatening when my illusion: Keebler dropped. Funny thing: if he cons threatening, you don't need to hide, FD, or anything. Just click Give.

So, here are the numbers:
- Scowling -> Threatening: 44 stacks
- Threatening -> Dubious: 12 stacks (56 total)
- Dubious -> Apprehensive: 21.5 stacks (77.5 total)
- Apprehensive -> Indifferent: 4 stacks (81.5 total)
- Indifferent -> Amiable: 4 stacks (85.5 total)

- After 98 stacks or so, my faction with Crushbone Orcs bottomed out. I had only a few negative hits with them from killing the Orc Runner in BBM a couple of times. They used to con threateningly.

- After 100.5 stacks, my faction with Clerics of Tunare and Soldiers of Tunare maxed out. I don't know what they con to me offhand.

- After 104 stacks, my faction with Faydarks Champions maxed out. Pandos cons amiable.

- After 107 stacks, my faction with King Tearis Thex maxed.

I'm curious to see how these numbers compare to an ikkie or a follower of CT.

I am a wood elf ranger (tunare) and you must be 46 and must give Pandos enough muffins to were it will say Faction cannot get any better . Telin will now give ya the Letter in BW .

I'm about to fill this lil freak with muffins to get my Epic started, I'm a 51 Ranger. I've done a Charm Quest in Neriak where I am KoS. When I did my turn-in, Ranger camo did NOT drop.....not even Superior Camo. Have a Ranger go with you to re-apply when needed, it is unreliable in length at times. Hope that helps e'r one tryin to get faction and not die.....Peace and Love.....

I was just wondering, after doing this quest a ton of times with my Iksar Monk (and btw, wolf form helps with him, but Lady Shae sees through it)...why is a Dwarf on all of these Felwithe/Kelethin factions but no dwarf factions? I know he is Lady Shae's bodyguard or somesuch, but it seems a bit odd not to have any dwarven factions at all...just food for thought =)

Bored at work, I scoured Allakhazam's quest lists for a couple of days. I isolated as many of the "feeding" quests as possible, and this one looked like the perfecta.

Cruised around the Hogcaller's Inn while invis, NP. Handed Pandos 16 muffins and recieved my 16 sets of faction adjustments, then hurried back down the steps at top speed. Success! Tried again, handed in the muffins, and out of the flood of faction came Pandos' attack messages.

"Well, maybe the invis faded", I thought to myself as I looted my own corpse (creepy). Recast, back up the stairs, more muffins and faction, another death.

He won't see through your invisibility until you hit the Trade button. Oh, and his HiElf girlfriend Lady Shae didn't like me much either.

Update 07/01/2001: The following <edited, heh> was posted on Illia's under Linara Parlone, and is one of the more informative posts I've read.

>In order to give her the key while invisible you must be at least 1 faction above 'Scowls, ready to attack'. Reason being, you will appear when you begin the trade, before the trade can be completed. At 'Threateningly', I believe you have 5 secs before you get on the hate list, and should have someone else invis you before you complete the trade.

PS: The recent blessings of Bertoxxulous to the Karanas have left muffins in rather short supply. They can be purchchased from Iago (in EK), Glinya Sweetpie (in FV), and (so I hear) in Thurgadin now - give a holler if you see them for sale elsewhere.

Anyone try wolf form on this guy?

I have a 50 Ranger that I am trying to start the epic quest for. I took him to PoG once for a short time and now I am KOS to my NPC that innitiates the quest. So now I am doing the Muffin quest with this little guy. He scowls at me and tried killing me the first time I met him! Brave little rascal! Well, I drug him to the zone and rezoned. Came back invis. got behind him and dispelled Invis, hit sneak and was indifferent to him. Followed him all the way back to his static spot while sneaking. DId the muffin quest while his back was turned to me. Sneak worked for me. I know not everybody has sneak, sorry.
