Druids can not use this belt because it is for classes that can actually use chain and plate besides ES just like Juventud pointed out

Notice though that Iksar and Human can't use either, so monks can't use it. The only races that can use it are races that can equip small armor. I don't understand how monk got on the list since the only races that can be monks wear medium only.

They just made it for melee's and think about it, it's great for a cleric, palidin or ranger who needs wisdom and some cold resist.

I got extremely lucky in EC the other day. A druid had unwittingly purchased this not thinking to ask or check if this is something that she should use. She then sent a shout saying that she was looking to sell this for a mere 450pp. I couldn't believe my luck...The lowest I have ever seen this sell for on Terris-thule is 4kpp...I jumped at the opportunity. I am throughouly enjoying the upgrade to my crystalline belt :)

FYI, tonite, a fellow druid and I hunted the cycle in FM for a bit. Out of 5 cycles, meaning 5 chances of spawn, the Burynai grand cenobite spawned twice. He dropped the belt both times. Just my observations. However, out of all the cycles I have done, which isn't many, around 15 or so, this bad boy has popped just those two times. The key to him is nuke nuke, and then keep nuking. ) If anyone knows the relative price on this belt or knows if Alak is right or close enough with the pricing, I would be curious to what they are going for. Thanx in advance. ) Send me a tell in game on Seventh Hammer if you want to buy, we can work something out. )

BELT OF CENOBITE CHANGE, AUGUST 31, 2001
# Aug 31 2001 at 7:33 AM Rating: Default
Recently we made an error with a change to the Belt of the Cenobite. A player pointed out that there was an error with the belt, that it was usable by Monks but not by humans. So we changed it to make it usable by humans. However, the belt is a small belt, intended only for the use of small races. The error on the item was not that it was unusable by humans, but that Monk was listed as a class that could use it.
So with the next patch we'll be removing both humans and Monks from the list of folks that can use this item. We just wanted you to know.

plz note that this is copy past from http://eq.castersrealm.com/

I really dont get that... why not remove monks from the list in the first place? Verant seems a bit umm "confused" sometimes..
#Anonymous, Posted: Aug 14 2001 at 8:27 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Why can't druids use? and since when do warriors need wis? ummmm....
RE: No Druids?
# Aug 17 2001 at 2:57 PM Rating: Decent
This is for plate and chain classes only. And a warrior would need the wisdom for tradeskills.
RE: No Druids?
# Aug 28 2001 at 8:06 AM Rating: Default
A warrior would need the wisdom ONLY if his Wis is higher than his Int............the old wive's tale that both effect trade skills was disproven by Verant long ago.
RE: No Druids?
# Aug 14 2001 at 8:53 AM Rating: Default
Forgot.. there must be an error/oversight here somewhere.. I didn't know any of the listed races could be monks
Love the belt on my ranger, but exclusion of druids is puzzling
too bad no shaman. hehe

Too bad a shaman can't use this, hehehe. oh, well. I can dream )
#Anonymous, Posted: Jun 08 2001 at 1:57 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Why can't Human Clerics use it, it dose not make sense!
RE: Why can't humans use the belt?
# Sep 02 2001 at 9:31 AM Rating: Default
because its a midget belt thats why. only the furry-footed, the big-headed or the big-bearded can use. and they must be under 4 feet tall
RE: Why can't humans use the belt?
# Jun 09 2001 at 6:30 AM Rating: Default
Because Humans can only wear Medium armor. All the races listed on this belt can wear Small armor.
#Anonymous, Posted: May 26 2001 at 2:34 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) god you people are ******* stupid - where does it drop? Who drops it? Just read the damn posts - seen the same question about 5 times, and seen it answered that many
Burynai Grand Cenobite
# Mar 13 2001 at 5:45 PM Rating: Default
Dropped by Burynai Grand Cenobite in north west corner of zone. He is very rare. I've done the rares there for quite a while and only seen him once while I've seen the other ultra rares several times. Very hard kill for me (42 Bard), had to let him run out of mana nukeing me before he dropped. Belt is amazing... worth the near death experience. =)

Spawns in NW Corner of Zone
# Apr 03 2001 at 9:35 PM Rating: Excellent
The Grand Cenobite Pops in the northwest corner of the Frontier Mountain Zone. He has several placeholders. These include the basic Burynai Miner, Gemeye, Eboneye, and various Named Sarnacks. Apparently the Burynai Miner and the Named Burynai in this area are the common spawn. Then the Named Sarnacks, the uncommon spawn and finally the Grand Cenobite is Ultra rare here. I grouped and hunted this area continuously for 2 weeks for many hours at a time killing the named Goblins,Giants,Burynai and Sarnacks. Having a tracker is a MUST since as soon as you kill one rare another pops someplace else in zone. Usually going between the Northwest Corner and Southeast corner I would eventually find a rare on track. If you kill one in SE area head to within hailing distance of the South wall and run West you usually will pick up another rare on tracking. If it is a giant or a goblin kill it and continue NW and see if you pick up a Burynai or Sarnack rare. If not go back to SE corner and start again. If you don't track a rare there kill all the Goblin Raiders and a rare will usually pop somewhere close by. If not go back to the NW corner and kill the Burynai Miners there. BE CAREFUL in the NW zone. There are ALOT of wandering mobs that are VERY aggressive. After Killing all the Burynai Miners there a Rare should pop or another Burynai Miner. Killing that Burynai miner should spawn a rare for sure. This system seemed to work well for me. In one night I got the Dusty Platemail, Belt of the Cenobite(was Lucky), Dustscryers Crystal Ball, Gemfinder, and Cheiftain's Headress. The rares did not always drop the nice item. Either was item or just Money with nothing else. The giants would drop all kinds of stuff and was pretty random. Most of these mobs were blue to a level 30ish group but several are yellow or red. A good solid group of four seems to work best at these levels but you definately need a tracker, Nuker, Snare and root or Chanter for mob control.Good Luck in your hunting.

This item is dropped by the Burynia Grand Cenobite...spawns up near the cave entrance to Droga...He is approx lvl 35-40 and does cast superior healing on himself.
#Anonymous, Posted: Dec 22 2000 at 11:28 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) What Mob drops this?
RE: what drops?
# Dec 26 2000 at 9:06 AM Rating: Good
It's dropped by the Burynai Grand Cenobite. I'd guess he's about mid 30s, but he's a cleric and likes using his nukes (which interrupt your casting) and heals himself a lot (if given the chance), so have someone slamming, bashing or stunning him when you take him down.

I've killed him 4 times and he dropped the belt every time.
