Dont forget to remove any augs you may have in the alloy piece before adding in the core. Wish someone had said this before I messed up lol.

Are all the pieces gone when the combine is done? Is it cheaper to change more than one core?
When you had alloy bracer that have dieased effect instead of poison effect, did it changed back to poison effect when you used those ?

How this works:
- You buy 1 "Steam Core Re-gearing Kit" for approx 40K
- You buy 1 "XXXXX Core Gear Kit" for YOUR CLASS for approx 10K(if you are a monk/paladin you'd buy the "Purification" one)
- Put the offending "Steam Core: XXX" that you farmed, along with the " XXX Core Gear Kit" into the "Steam Core Re-gearing Kit" box and hit combine. This will give you the proper steam core for your class.
NOW you spend another 1.5k to buy the "Steam Core Embedder"
Drop the shiny new steam core you created into the Embedder, along with the armor piece you wish to apply it to and hit combine. This gives you the upgraded armor (purified armor if you are a monk)
Total cash output: approx 51.5K !
- You buy 1 "Steam Core Re-gearing Kit" for approx 40K

With the recent addition of steam core re-gearing kit available at the bargain price of 40k plus another 10k pp for the core gear kit, at the automated vendor near the cannon to fortress, you can configure any steam core, regardless of type, so that you can use it. In order to be able to buy these items you must have Indifferent Faction or better with akanon strikeforce V.

You need this and a class specific core gear kit to re-gear a core to your class.
Combine, then use embedder to core armor.
Containers poof! on combine, so be prepared to blow 51k.
Merchant is near mech cannon in DSH, also a bank there.
