Unless fighting uber bosses that cast AC is king. Serp Bracer has 1 ac. 1. with 9 agi thats like 3-4 ac. How can they even compare.
And once again, this bracer is Iksar and Ranger friendly...so when one of these drops let a lizard or ranger have it and do the Hero Bracer Quest (yes, there IS quest for them!)
Right now i'm using a Bracer of Scavaging and a no drop 5 ac 5 str 5 agi 15 hp. I would gladly drop the no drop for this one.
And if anyone have one of these on Bristlebane, send Xikuliz a tell if you want to sell it.

I read through all the posts and the only ref to a serp bracer I see is where somone said it

AC is nice, but sometimes you focus on other stats based on who you're grouping with. My wife and I (her 50 Warr and my 50 Monk) frequently team up with our guildmates, but other times we work solo b/c we only have an hour or so and nobody's nearby. When we are grouping, she focuses on AC first, followed by STR to max her protection and raw damage output. But when we work by ourselves, she will flip in several pieces that don't have quite as much AC or cost a few STR, in favor of boosting her DEX. Why?
Simple- Kunzar Ku'juch is her backup weapon for these occasions, swapped out for one or the other of her usual 1HS (Wurmy/Centi LS combo). When the Engulfing Darkness proc goes off, add my Monk's Instill Doubt and you've got a pair of meelees who Fear-kite. Soon as the proc goes, she switches it back out for her regular weapons to ramp up the damage again while we both pound the back of the MOB to death.
Too bad the Kunzar is Lore... a second one would spell even more chances for the proc to go off early and start the running. One of these days I gotta get around to searching up another weapon with Snare-like effects, I guess. Life's rough when you haven't got the time to either make ubercash and buy everything you want, or get into raid after raid to grab gear off the rotting corpses of your enemies. *shrug*

The serp bracer is nowhere near the quality of this item. Agi is nice, but raw ac is hugely better. Takes about 5agi to equal one raw ac point. Thats a rough estimate but not far from the mark.
I use this bracer on my warr, replaced the silly 8ac 5str 15hp thing from the Halloween events. This is an excellent piece for us shorties, who cant wear hero and cant afford better, ie dragon hero or silver chitin. Only problem is the rarity, very few people fight in the higher range, but not uber dungeons of Luclin. As such the loot rarely trickles down to NFP. I was lucky to see this item, and snatched it up for 750pp, and was very pleased.

I know that Luclin is New and all, but surely someone out there must have a PC or at least and educated guess. I play a Monk and have no Idea about the prices for Armor of this kind.
On Lanys the Hero Bracers are selling for 800pp, they have 9ac but a STR Bonus. This has 12 ac but no Str so I am thinking maybe a similar price, or a bit less, like 500pp
Any thoughts or input would be most appreciated.

Sounds reasonable. I paid 750 for mine, but as posted above, im short, and cant wear hero, so this was the best i could find before forking out for silver chitin or dragon hero. Or now the new bracelets of speed and strength or whatever they are called.
This is not dropped by the Greater Horror. In Mons Letalis, there is a system of caverns, and in one room in the middle of it, there are two rare spawns, one being the Greater Horror, the other being the Corrupted HiveMistress. She's a tough one, giant bug, level 50, I believe. 60 druid and 51 bard kited her around her room and eventually took her down.
The Greater Horror, on the other hand, dropped a 12/32 whip with 5str 3wis/int, and I think 10 mana. For how hard he is, it sucks, because he hit for up to 195 and has high MR. Go figure.

Yeah mid-level nothing. Warrior bracers over 10ac cost a pretty penny. So unless you've been lucky enough to win a drop, your probably still wearing crafted or crusty and this one would do just fine.

Guys where is everyone getting the impressio that a 12 ac bracer sucks for a Warrior? Short of quest armor, there are very few things available inthis ac range for me. There are some quests items that are obtainable but would require the help of a guild to get. Tell me where I can get better than this, otherwise its pretty good for me until I can get Thurg or better quest armor.

Umm maybe not so great for a warrior or pally at lvl 53, but I'm a ranger and i'm wearing thorny ivy bracer and Ice forged shackles.. I would much rather wear this than my thorny ivy believe me.. 12ac for a ranger wrist is very nice if you ask me
