This would make a pretty darn nice starter weapon for a twinked Rogue. There's no minimum required or recommended level on it and as weapons of that sort go it's got respectable stats.

I just recently bought this weapon today, but I have yet to use it. Thought I'd hop on over and let everyone know exactly what it looks like. This link () leads to the Halfling Rogue starter weapon, the Slickfinger Dirk and it shares a graphic with the Stone Bladed Stiletto. 'bane damage ___' means the extra damage counts when fighting a creature of that type.
So this weapon is a 14/28 weapon Unless you're using it on a summoned creature (elementals, pets etc) at which point it becomes 15/28.

I have my S.B.S. do the same thing. It will proc 5 times, hitting the mob for 27dmg and healing me for 27dmg at the same time. I have various off hand weapons, Velium Swiftblade, Hardened Bone Spear, Defience, and my newest Edge of the Nightwalker in which none of them proc anything. The only blade that has anything close is the Swiftblade with worn haste. Until I saw your post I thought I had a spell cast on me, and was just dreaming it, because I had no spell icon for what was cast on me. The last time it proced, I was in KC and I had a Heroic Bond, Spirit of Wolf, and Strength of Stone and no other buffs. But it proced the same thing as yours twice that night.

Is Stonehand soloable by a 53 Necro.. Or a 54 Shammy.. OR if they can't do it.. Could a 53 Necro/54 Shammy duo take the Stonehand?

The problem will be getting him without triggering other skellies or trap mobs. I would think that even if he cons yellow both the necro and shammy could solo him. The combo should be a no brainer. But its the possible adds that will be the problem.

I already have obtained a Stone Bladed Stiletto for my 51 rogue, but have heard that a fungusbeast spine is better for backstabbing, due to its disease damage. Which one should I take, with my offhand being a bloodpoint?

when i have this wepon and i am hitting it says it its the mob i am fightin for an none melee of 27 and it says you have been healed for 27 is this the wepon or what is going on
your other weapon may have a lifetap type proc on it where the mob takes 27 damage and then you get healed for 27(of the mobs hit points). the bane damage is just damage that's added to the base when you're fighting a creature that's classed as "summoned" ie. Elementals. If you're hunting elementals in, say, twilight sea, this is a 15/28 poker as opposed to 14/28 against everything else. Still a nice weapon either way.

I notice many Verions of this weapon are Poping up. Primarily dealing with the Bane damage, Mine has a Bane of +1 Summoned creature. i Have also seen this one with the +1 Unknown Bloodtype, and +5 Unknown bloodtype. Now these being lore i wonder if the Different Versions would be different enough to have 2 8)

Finally ran into one on my server last night. It was the first time I ever see it auctioned, and I managed to grab it. Cost me 10k though, so the price above is accurate for our economy.
The graphic as one person mentioned is same as jagged ice shard / Shadow rager. A nice piercer, 14/28 is a very decent ratio and nice for backstab damage, and 10agi 10dex 10svc never hurt anyone. For rogues who are far from epic (like me), it's nice to be able to see similar backstab output, and 14 damage is as close as I've seen on tradeable rogue usable piercers.
My question is regarding to the "unknown bodytype" bane damage. Is this a bug, or verant simply being.. vague. Does anyone have any confirmed information on this bane damage type, other than speculation?

This weapon drops from Stonehand.
Stonehand is popped by the traps in the zone. Sand traps normally pop Xakra worms. Rock traps can pop several different fiend-like mobs (boulderlings, stone beast, Shimmering Rockfiends, Stonehand, and Boulder).
Get an invis and lev. Pop around from rock to rock trying to trigger traps. When you see "a creature of living stone" you've popped the rock trap. If you're lucky, you got Stonehand or Boulder.
Some traps are static, most are mobile. Mobile traps will spawn anywhere in an area and once triggered, they will re-appear in a new location 18 mins later. Static traps pop in the same spot over and over, with an 18min spawn time. They're not entirely static however... with each server reset (update) the static traps move. They'll re-pop in the new location over and over, just gotta find it again.
I've gotten Boulder and Stonehand several times by locating a static trap and just triggering it over and over every 18 mins. Stilleto is pretty rare tho.

This weapon drops off a named rockfiend in the Grey named Stonehand. Its a great rogue weapon, with a shaman STR buff (getting it close to 250) my 41 Rogue BS's for 300+ so far. The graphic on it is really nice, Jeweled hilt with a bright white dagger length curved blade. I have no idea what the PH's for Stonehand...but if i had to guess i would say rockfiends....I was on my way to the Ssra Temple and saw him on track...He was just outside of DS zoneline, thinking maybe some trained him and zoned /shrug. Anyway just for kicks I put up a /auc Taking offers on this dagger in EC and high bid was 20k. My rogue duel weilds this and a Hardened Bone Speae (also drops in the grey off a nemd Skele) 12/25 Str+15...great combo.

Well I have recently spent 20 hours or so in The Grey harvesting organs for myself and guildies to complete the EB necklace quest, and in that time we must have killed at least 600 various MOBs. In all that time other than the organs and some plat we dropped not a single thing. We were mostly fighting at the ML zone, although for about 3 hours we were at the temple.
Were we fighting the wrong MOBs, or fighting in the wrong area? Were we just unlucky? If anyone could give us a little hard information it would be greatly appreciated.
As to the great backstab damage debate, as a level 55 with maxed BS skill for the level, 234 STR buffed, and using an 11 damage weapon I've seen 363. Minimum is 82, and average I would put at around 180, without going over the logs in detail. With a 10 damage weapon I never saw a BS over 300 at level 53.

Strength has a big effect on max BS damage. I have run some tests with my 38th rogue, buffed by my 53rd shaman (255) and unbuffed (155).
Buffed Max BS = 232
Unbuffed Max BS = 180
She backstabs with a Sarnak Backstabber (10/20...bigger isn't necessarily better, though Barbarian men probably think it is =P). Her backstab is not quite maxxed for her level (189 out of 195).
If you add 40% to the damage to account for going from 10 damage to 14 damage, plus a little bit for her BS not being maxxed, you'd wind up in the 325-340 range. Close enough for government work.
Of course, I'd do less damage when I'm not backstabbing. And since BS only accounts for about 1/4 of your total damage output, I'm not sure I'd give up my Snarkstabber for one of these. Probably better to sell it to some Barb.

My Halfling Rogue at 29 with BrightwoodSpear 140str 145Agi 170Dex only BS's for 125 and Skills (149)/ 150 is max. I cant see me Doubling my BS in 6 Levels even if I switch to a 14 damage weapon.

Well fellas, I am a cleric of the 56th season and I have a rogue twink. Well to get to the point. When my rogue was 42nd level, and had 227 base str,buffed 255 easy, He could BS for 323 with a serps tooth...13/27 3str. I think that 323 is the cap since now hes 46 and still cant break 323 have hit it several times but cant break it=(

umm at 35 I could bs for 232 max with a 140 str 158 agi 150 dex and crystalline spear (13/30) you can double your bs if you get a much better weapon
