The Chain is Dark Redish purple and just a chain graphic. The Plate is the Plate graphic, ( of course) and looks dark dark blue. Enchanted or not, the colors do not change. Also color shades will vary depending on your Gamma in the game. Some will be so low the Plate looks almost black.

Unfortunately, magelo only has the regular version in their database. My char, however, has almost the full enchanted set. Very cool to use illusion:barbarian and let people wonder at the barbarian enchanter ;)
Although the crystalline robes have slightly better stats, I can get by with the tunic for the coolfactor.

i have read storys about the drow and there magical weapons and armor but to see it is gloryous
how many monks do you know that carry around a oracle robe so they dont look like a monkey?
How about wizards with leather looking armor so they dont look like wizards?

It takes a Smithing Skill of 200 to make this. In order to get to that skill, it takes weeks to months of verious tedious effort. It also takes about 20,000p in expenses to fund this effort. It is easier and cheaper to camp for the GBS.
Add to this the fact that is a unique graphic, armor for casters, and the stat bonuses, this item could easily sell for 3-5kp.

It doesnt take a 200 skill. I've made 2 with a skill of 186 (out of 6 tries total, on 2 different runs). I have recently gotten a 200 skill, and my success with enchanted chain is about 40%. It doesnt take 20kpp worth of resources to get to a 200 skill, either. And, it doesnt take months of effort to get a 200 skill, either. 6 weeks, maybe 4kpp, and a lot of patience.
This tunic looks like a dark purple chain tunic, the rest of the set looks like red chain items...
Kinda weird that the tunic has different color ... /shrug

I can't speak for the rest of the armor, but the Enchanted Tier'dal Chain Bracers are purple too. I know this because I'm wearing one I made myself this past weekend. I'm thinking either the color for the armor has been changed or that the non-enchanted or the Imbued have a different color.

They are not that purple. Belive me I know. I have a full set. Chest piece is dark dark purple, rest is close to dark red.

If it is more than 150pp, I'll just take the Sarnak Emblazoned Tabard for the Melee classes...
