the unadorned chain leggings drop in ToV in the Halls of Testing. You need at least one VERY refined group (as in... 60 with very nice gear) or more likely and easier to get, 3-4+ groups.

They moved away from +10 to a single resist on a piece like in the old plane armor to a lesser amount but to all or several saves on all of the pieces, this gives you a net gain of resists over the fear or hate armors and way more then the kunark stuff which had no resists at all. It also gives you a net gain of resists when you have yet to complete a full set of armor which is nice also.

My only problem is...the stat bonuses. Considering the difficulty of attaining this item, why aren't the stats all +5? I mean why +2, +3?? Does this really help? C'mon Verant reward those hard working rangers out there and make the saves something special......maybe my view is just warped hehe

If each piece had 5 resist all, if you throw in a couple pieces of BD jewelry, you'd be immune to damn near everything as well as have high ac. Low resits across the board on each piece forces you to choose your gear more carefully.

SS Armor is not hard to get, it's just time consuming.

awesome simply awesome: very good AC. Decent stats for melee - with a focus on what we actually need as well as what helps. Decent save bonuses which are - in my opinion - more necessary than 2 or 3 more AC. Very sweet item.
