Same question; what drops it, is it really a quest, who ever has one give me a tell in game.
Garetjax, 52 warrior, Povar server.
PS: Ill need to see proof that you have one.
i.e. Ill want to see the weapon on your character.

I got one off one of the named dragons in Western Waste, I heard it use to be a reward for a quest in WW as well, but was replaced with some bow quest, not sure if still drops with the quest, havent tried it.

I can do over 1000 damage in fights with this. It is one of the best backstabbing weapons out there.

I almost always do over 1000 points of damage when in a fight with higher level mobs. I would be doing more damage but the group usually kills them before more can be obtained.
Most damage done in a single fight (that was kept track of that is) is just over 4k, so far...and I am far from uber, if anything I am lacking in equipment.
I do not have one of these spears yet but hope to acquire one soon enough.

No need to flame, a lot of people do not know the details of backstabbing.
First off, the highest you can get in a single backstab without using Duelist is 553 (with Ragebringer). The highest you can *with* duelist is 1106. So without duelist, and Ragebringer, you *can* backstab for 1106, but you need a double backstab of 553 to accomplish this. You can also double backstab with Duelist on and get 2 1106's, which is kinda like insta death (for you, from the aggro), but hey, that's one hell of a lot of damage!
Also, the backstab cap is not 553/1106, if there were a 16 damage rogue usable piercer, the numbers would change. You can test this by using a different damage weapon and seeing your max backstab. For instance, the cap for a 13 damage weapon is around ~460 or so, and an 11 damage weapon would be different. So just some info on backstab for all you peeps out there :)

nice info on the backstabin but can anyone tell how crits work becuase ive done a 1398 backstab duelist with a crit... thx

Well if someone took the time to read my post and not make snide remarks, you might find that, yes, you can backstab for more than 1k damage. Perhaps you should read more carefully, because you are making yourself look stupid by 1) insulting and 2) not paying attention.

There is no way you can do 1000dmg backstabs with this, unless you are talking about this AND while using Duelist, then yeah, maybe you can get 1000dmg backstab if you are lucky within those 12 seconds, I currently use Ragebringer and this in my offhand, very good weapon.

Even though the subject was Backstabbing, I don't think he meant he did 1k damage BSing, I think he's talking total in a fight, not sure...

By saying you can do over 1000 damage in fights, are expressing potentiality or hard data. If this is hard data, then please, post how you obtained this item. If it is merely potentail, please say as much.

Also Consider that this is Better then the 10/20 traks tooth...and is useable in either slot, unlike the traks tooth....
I hope they come out with a 'lance' version of this so my SK will get a shot at it... I love the look of that thing!

uuhhmmm... your shadowknight CAN use this.

I just meant that I wouldn't use that weapon, too good for the duel wielders.
I love the graphic, however. When they are thinking about 2handed piercers that SK's can use, I hope they place this graphic on it :)

Believe the Exquisite Velium weapons and the like come from Western Wastes and Dragon Necropolis.
It comes from one of the named Dragons in Western Wastes. Couldn't tell you what one, though, as I've only heard of two being taken out.

this is not true it is a quest i have one new in fact
you get the wings from ww but the other things are in other zones then you give them to the gnomes in WW and walla- you get one of many weapons this being one

You have described this in a manner assuming that we all know what wings and which gnomes you are talking about. And it is possible for an item to be both dropped and from a quest.
Either way, if you did get it from a quest, please post back with details of the quest.
