I am absolutely floored that this is unusable by Half Elves, and also Dark Elves, but... it CAN be used by Wood Elves? What the?
Usable by Ogres. Dwarves. Gnomes. Frogloks. Humans. Halflings. Iksar. Vah Shir.
But not Dark Elves or Half Elves. That almost seems like that has to be an oversight, especially given that Wood Elves can use it. That blows my mind.

a good friend of mine 65 sk uses this and is happy to have it. I have to say the graphic on it looks sweet and he deals some decent dmg with it. For all the peps who arnt in elemental guilds this item is nice

The idea behind zerker is ALL 2H weapons, so if WAR/PAL/SK can use, it's probably a pretty safe bet...

I was on a dain raid today and 3 of these dropped and only 2 people could use, so quickly i gated and camped, created a level 1 human paladin, attacked paladin guildmaster ran to pok, and went through great divide into thurg. The second i entered thurg i did a /who to see who was there. I got a DMF from a 65 necro and a hp buff from a druid. I zoned into icewell, ran up the stars floated down the well, and looted this awesome axe. Yay
I am a level 53 Cavalier with the Frostreaver and my epic , the Fiery Defender. The Frostreaver has a better ratio but the Fiery Defender has better stats... witch should i use?

As a 60 Warlord, I have the Frostreaver and Primal Velium Battle Axe and prefer the Frostreaver. I use the Primal until Avatar procs then switch to Frostreaver. For me it holds aggro better and seem to get more crits with it. Avatar lasts about 6 minutes and with 255 dex, Judgement of Ice goes off quite often. 125 direct damage (aggro raiser plus extra damage) compared to 100 agi dex str attack over and over again (last 6 minutes, most flights don't last that long and if so switch back after 5 minutes and refresh)
My thought, Frostreaver good, Primal Velium Battle Axe good, Frostreaver and Primal combo GREAT

Our group 14 druid(with sow), monk (with fd), 14 cleric, 15 wizzy, 16 ranger and lvl 20 tank(with damage cap removed) just got back from tov and decided to give the dain a vist before we logged. Monk pulled the little bugger fight lasted about 2 min he had to have over 2k hp (amazing) by far tuffer than gnols in sk. but droped decent sword and a head(for some quest i guess?) anyways he isnt that hard just make sure everyone is in thier teens and you should be ok. ;)

I know alot of warlords who use this axe. It creates good aggro, nice rations has some stats and hp's. Damn good axe. To those of you who say otherwise, fine go get you neater toys and leave everyone else to there dreams...

For al you rich people out there that this is crap, not everyone is in a big strong guild and gets to raid ToV frequently. I, myself am a 56 paladin (Dorf) and the best 2H slash weapons i can get are the ones i buy in the bazaar. I currently wield an Argent Protector ( that crap? yes that crap), and i am pretty happy about it.
I dont see the use in shouting every weapon is crap just because you have a better one, or even your lvl 15 alt has a better one.
BTW name is Krovikan on AB, send a tell when you let the crap rot )P

Umm, No your the ******. They didn't take him out, they put him in the last wave of a ring type quest (different waves of mobs come and you kill and blah blah blah).. But they screwed it up and now they have to fix it. It's like a 20wave thing. not too sure. and YES he still drops Palladius Axe of Slaughter. Think before you speak
if you would read message boards, instead of positng so blithly you'd know that the ring has been broken since they implimented it.

I put it on my SK when he was 27. He's 40 now. Axe always goes to alts. If you're in a guild that can kill Dain a lot, then you have to have better 2hs for your mains.

I think this is a load of crap as well. Seems most people haven't seen the NO DROP on it. So I really doubt any raid would first let a lvl 10 anything come down to raid with them, moreless let them loot their Phat Lewt. Nice try.

For guilds killing Dain these are sadly crap, same with the joke weapon Tormax drops. I have one on my level 16 warrior Jaradin. I'll gladly log him in and let you see it. Barrin has one on his level 2 Iksar warrior Dain tester. The day I got mine for my twink we let a level 30ish warrior jump down the well and loot the 2nd one that was on the corpse. /rude crap loots.
We have let many rot as well since it seems he likes to drop the Frostreaver quite often. Ask Algathor how many have rotted. Also the SK and Paladin swords from Yelinak end up rotting nearly every raid.

I'm not a warrior but after reading this post I started looking up the weapons that drop in ST. From what I saw this and the axe of kromzek kings(or whatever it's called) is just as good if not better than the primal weapons in ST. Please enlighten me as to why this weapon sucks.
Biiig difference with primal. They all proc avatar. That's +100atk +100str +100dex +100agi. Once it procs once, you'll probably be at 255 dex so it'll just keep proccing. It increases your damage output signifigantly.

this is a twink item compared to the stuff in ST. Infact we normaly give them to guests or twinks when we kill the dain. It has gotten a nice upgrade but is still no where close to the primal and priceless 2h weapons
... it is entirely possible to get to Thurgadin and Icewell at very low levels. I've seen several lowbies (some under level 10) hanging around at Icewell hoping for Royal Velium Frosted armor (SP?) and the Velium Round shields - the former is nodrop, and the latter is lore and very common, so are often left to rot.
HOWEVER, I can't believe that any group would actually leave this weapon to decay... perhaps the raid group had to evac and this fellow ninja'd the loot. (Higer level uber-boss corpses last a lot longer than regular corpses, so the Raiders may not have been in a hurry to loot and this guy jumped in).

I have seen (SEEN, not heard about...) a level three in the Crystal caves. It's no more difficult to get to Thurgadin, than it is to get there...

i once ran a level 1 warrior from freeport all the way to thurg. its very easy, but time consuming, just make sure you bind at the pirate village and your all set. then, once you get to thurg, bind again.
also, i ran a human bard, follower of rallos zek to Kael, and now she lives there. Lots of other people have done it.

total ******** man..i've seen a lvl 60 ogre warrior fall to icewell sentinels even with a cleric backing him up...a lvl 30 would be owned in about 5 seconds flat, i dont care if u have a drood or anything..and a wurmy?! slow as hell and weight like hell. and no haste? let me tell you this ogre had duel wielding silver whips of rage (pre-nerf lore). it aint gonna happen and u will never even make it past 2 seconds against Dain. good luck, i wish u well..just get ready pay a clerry for a rez...

I'd like to know how the 60 war fell while backed by a cleric, I've seen a 58war and 59 rogue (thats right, no healer) take sentries NP and I can handle a sentinal with cleric standing behind me no sweat. A 60 cleric, 56 ranger, and myself took a sentry and sentinal at the SAME TIME and cleric still had 35% mana at the end of the fight. One group with me as MA, a 52 cleric healing, and a 51 monk pulling took watchers w/o incidince and killed all 3 counselors in the bleachers area SIMULTANEOUSLY without breaking a sweat. Sure 2 30s and a 40 cant do **** there but it's obvious he wasnt serious. Icewell is really an easy zone for powerfull characters. Its also a GREAT place to work on plate wearing twinks... Don't expect to be able to solo there, a 60 magician has the best chance but even that is pretty futile, a small group is just fine tho, one full, balanced group (preferably one with a skilled monk to make pulls easier) can do great there with little downtime and little risk, I've NEVER had to evac and NEVER had a wipeout in the many many hours I've spent there, and little of that time was spent in raid strength.

actually the Duerger are not the most deadly race, that still belongs to the drow. either of chez' nased or menzoberanzan. other wise they wouldn't get owned by the svirfneblin all the time.
